Objectives: This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of three intra-canal sealer activation techniques: ultrasonic, Lentulospiral activation, and GP cone-mediated ultrasonic activation on dentinal tubule penetration of a bioceramic (BIO-C) root canal sealer and AH Plus jet sealer with single cone obturation.
Materials And Methods: Eighty single-rooted straight canal teeth were randomly divided into two main groups - BIO-C sealer and AH Plus jet sealer ( = 40). Each group was further divided into four subgroups, based on the three activation techniques: ultrasonics, Lentulospiral, gutta-percha cone-mediated ultrasonic, and a control. The canals were obturated using the single cone obturation technique. Dentinal penetration of sealers was measured using Micro-CT at the coronal, middle, and apical portions of root canals.
Results: Greater sealer penetration was observed with ultrasonic and Lentulospiral agitation compared to GP-mediated ultrasonic agitation for both sealers.
Conclusion: BIO-C yielded better results with ultrasonic and Lentulospiral agitation, while AH Plus performed better with ultrasonic agitation.

Multidrug resistance (MDR) infectious wounds are a major concern due to drug resistance, leading to increased patient morbidity. Lichenysin (LCN), a lipopeptide and biosurfactant obtained from certain strains of , has demonstrated an excellent antimicrobial property. The present study focuses on the fabrication and comprehensive evaluation of LCN-incorporated poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/polycaprolactone (PCL)-based nanofiber scaffolds using an electrospinning technique as a potential wound healing biomaterial for the treatment of MDR infectious wounds in diabetic rats.

Redox-inactive metal ions functioning as Lewis acids (LA) play a significant role in modulating the redox reactivity of metal-oxygen intermediates such as metal-oxo, metal-superoxo, and metal-peroxo species. In photosystem II (PS-II), the redox-inactive metal ion Ca is critical for O activation, although its precise function remains unclear. Inspired by nature's use of redox-inactive metal ions, this study aims to characterize complexes of high-valent Cu(III) bound Lewis acids, (where M = Zn, Eu, Yb, and Sc), through various spectroscopic techniques, including UV-vis and resonance Raman spectroscopic analyses.

Background: The prevalence of depressive symptoms, apathy, and cognitive decline increases with age. Understanding the temporal dynamics of these symptoms could provide valuable insights into the early stages of cognitive decline, allowing for more timely and effective treatment and management.
Methods: Participants from the Prevention of Dementia by Intensive Vascular Care (preDIVA) trial cohort with baseline and ≥3 follow-up measurements were included, with a median of 7.

Background: Community pharmacy appears to have undergone considerable change over the years.
Objectives: The objective of this research is to study the range of community pharmacy services provided in late stages of the COVID-19 pandemic and during the last decades and to identify potential drivers for change.
Methods: Four European countries (Austria, England, Estonia, and Portugal), which represent a balance in terms of income, organization of the health system and pharmacy services, were selected as case studies.

Background: The swift rise in the prevalence of Alzheimer's disease (AD) alongside its significant societal and economic impact has created a pressing demand for effective interventions and treatments. However, there are no available treatments that can modify the progression of the disease.
Methods: Eight AD brain tissues datasets and three blood datasets were obtained.
