Data-driven analytical methods have seen significant advancements, leading to the proposal of various frameworks for assessing the spatiotemporal impacts of freeway traffic accidents. Typically, the impact of such accidents is identified by comparing traffic speeds under normal conditions with those observed during the accident. This paper introduces a novel framework designed to estimate these impacts. To overcome challenges related to insufficient historical data or concerns about data quality, the framework utilizes predictive speed values to estimate normal expected speeds, rather than relying solely on average values, for calculating the speed change ratio. Furthermore, the framework incorporates an analysis of spatiotemporal mutation points in the speed change ratio, simplifying the impact area by delineating the envelope of the traffic accident propagation curve. This curve reflects trends in speed changes and impact propagation. Additionally, a method for analyzing the error in the spatiotemporal impact range is proposed, allowing for the determination of the maximum and minimum extents of the accident's impact propagation area. The practicality and effectiveness of the proposed framework are demonstrated through a case study.

At uncontrolled intersections, without traffic signals or explicit right-of-way guidance, drivers interacting from different directions depend on their perception and real-time judgment to make strategic decisions about when and how to cross or yield. This uncertainty in decision-making, if misjudged, may result in vehicle collisions. In this study, we developed a networked two-vehicle driving simulator platform, conducted experiments to simulate the interaction between straight-going (SG) and left-turn (LT) vehicles at uncontrolled intersections, and focused on exploring the contributing factors that may influence drivers' crossing decisions.

During the early growth stages of fish larvae, there are significant challenges to their viability, so improving their visual environment is essential to promoting their growth and survival. Following the successful knockout of thyroid hormone receptor beta 2 () using Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats (CRISPR)/Cas9 technology, there was an increase in the expression of UV opsin (short-wave-sensitive 1, ), while the expression of other cone opsins was significantly decreased. Further analysis of the retinal structure demonstrated that the knockout resulted in an increased lens thickness and a decreased thickness of the ganglion cell layer (GCL), outer plexiform layer (OPL), and outer nuclear layer (ONL) in the retina.
