This study was aimed to investigate the effects of ozone (O) treatment during incubation period (IP) on hatchability, hatch window, chick quality and organ growth, bacterial load of feces and first-week growth performance in broilers. A total of 240 hatching eggs were weighed and randomly divided into control group (O-IP (-)) and O treatment (O-IP (+)). A commercial O generator was placed into the setter and O treatment (at the level of 0.050 ppm) was applied during 1 min per hour in a cyclic period of 3 days during the 18-day incubation period. The egg weight loss between 1 and 18 days ranged with values 8.59% in O-IP (-) and 10.63% in O-IP (+) group. The pipping time and incubation length was determined as 500.67 h and 527.33 h in O-IP (-) and 489.67 h and 518.33 h in O-IP (+) respectively. The yolk sac weight was found to be higher in the O-IP (-) group compared to the O-IP (+). In conclusion, O treatment during incubation period seems to be cause an acceleration for pipping time and shortening of total incubation period, unsteady effects for chick growth and quality, inhibitory effect for bacterial growth in feces.

The slow growth rate of Hemsl. (Zanthoxylum) is the important factor causing the scarcity of its available wild resource. It has been reported that the plant endophytes can promote the plant growth and the synthesis of secondary metabolitesby by enhancing the efficiency of nutrient absorption by plants and regulating plant hormones.

Aspergillus spp. are most commonly associated with disease in the severely immunocompromised host and those with chronic chest disease. The scope of patients at risk is expanding, including intensive care (inclusive of severe viral pneumonia), trauma, burns and major surgery.

Studies on foraging site selection during the breeding period of waterbirds can identify key ecological factors, providing a scientific foundation for their conservation and habitat management. The Scaly-sided Merganser () is a globally endangered species and serves as an indicator species in submontane valleys. However, research on the key ecological factors influencing foraging site selection at different breeding stages remains limited.

The concurrent use of cocaine and alcohol is highly prevalent in Western countries and carries a substantial risk of relapse in recovering process. Craving, characterized as a strong desire for consuming drugs, is a core feature of cocaine and ethanol use disorders and presents a significant challenge to maintaining abstinence and preventing relapse. The primary objective of this study was to explore the behavioural patterns associated with the incubation of drug-seeking for a cocaine-ethanol combination and, secondarily, to examine the plasma amino acid profile that might be associated with this combination.

We recently reported successful equine IVF using fresh semen pre-incubated for a prolonged period (22 h) before co-culture with oocytes. In this study, we evaluated the feasibility of equine IVF with frozen-thawed sperm and evaluated capacitation-related changes in these sperm over the pre-incubation period. Sperm selected via a commercial sperm separation device (SSD) yielded significantly higher fertilization than did sperm selected by swim-up or by colloid centrifugation.
