Cocaine, a prevalent drug of abuse, is associated with numerous systemic health complications, including significant ocular manifestations. These ocular effects range from mild to severe, with the potential for irreversible vision loss. Despite the extensive documentation of cocaine's systemic effects, the literature still lacks a focused review of its ocular manifestations. We methodically explores the epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentations, diagnostic challenges, and therapeutic approaches related to cocaine-associated ocular manifestations. By categorizing the findings based on the anatomical location and type of pathology-orbital, corneal, retinal, neuro-ophthalmic, glaucoma-related, and uveal manifestations-we aim to provide a detailed overview that aids in early diagnosis and effective management of ocular disease secondary to cocaine use. Our review highlights the importance of awareness among clinicians, showcasing the wide range of ocular pathology to improve patient outcomes and prevent long-term ocular damage after cocaine abuse.

Alkaptonuria is an extremely rare disorder of tyrosine metabolism caused by an autosomal recessive enzymatic deficiency of homogentisic acid (HGA) oxidase, causing its accumulation in collagenous structures, especially in hyaline cartilage. It is characterized by a triad of homogentisic aciduria, bluish-black discoloration of connective tissues (ochronosis) and arthropathy of the spine and large weight-bearing joints. Several clinical manifestations were described including coronary and valvular calcification, aortic stenosis, limited chest expansion, and renal, urethral and prostate calculi as well as ocular and cutaneous pigmentation.

Purpose: Thyroid eye disease (TED) presents challenges in the accurate assessment of disease activity, especially concerning ocular surface manifestations. This study aims to evaluate the potential of anterior segment optical coherence tomography angiography (AS-OCTA) in quantifying vascular changes associated with TED, thereby enhancing understanding of its pathophysiology and aiding in diagnosis and management.
Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study involving 29 TED patients and 21 healthy controls.

Background: ROSAH syndrome is an autosomal dominant systemic disease featuring etinal dystrophy, ptic nerve edema, plenomegaly, nhidrosis and migrainous eadache. Ocular manifestation of ROSAH syndrome can simulate posterior uveitis, vasculitis, generalized retinal dystrophy and neuroretinitis.
Purpose: To report a case of a 17-year-old female presenting with recurrent vitreous hemorrhage on a background of dental anomalies and anhidrosis.
Purpose: To evaluate the clinical and patient-reported outcomes of the toric version of a refractive extended depth of focus intraocular lens (IOL).
Methods: This was a prospective observational study including 26 eyes of 26 patients (age range: 58 to 88 years) who underwent cataract surgery with implantation of the LuxSmart toric IOL (Bausch & Lomb GmbH). Changes in distance, intermediate (80 cm), and near (40 cm) visual acuities, manifest refraction, defocus curve, distance photopic contrast sensitivity (CSV-1000 test), and patient-reported outcomes (Catquest-9SF questionnaire) were evaluated during a 3-month follow-up.
