This technical note introduces a technique for remounting dental casts to a mechanical articulator using computed tomography (CT) without a facebow. We have developed a jig method that ensures precise remounting by aligning the virtual dental casts to the upper and lower jaw models reconstructed from the CT and transferring them to a virtual articulator based on anatomical landmarks. A custom-designed positioning jig and splint further enhance the accuracy of the process, preserving the spatial relationship between the midface and mandible. The proposed mounting jig technique can help transfer the patient's maxillomandibular relationship quickly, repeatedly, and accurately to an articulator after the patient leaves.

Exoskeletons play a crucial role in joint healthcare by providing targeted support and rehabilitation for individuals with musculoskeletal diseases. As an assistive device, the accurate monitoring of the user's joint signals and exoskeleton status using wearable sensors is essential to ensure the efficiency of conducting complex tasks in various scenarios. However, balancing sensitivity and stretchability in wearable devices for exoskeleton applications remains a significant challenge.

A general tribo-dynamic model for lubricated clearance joints in spatial multibody systems.

Existing tribo-dynamic models encounter challenges in accurately characterizing the intense coupling and notable nonlinearity between component deformation and oil film pressure in lubricated clearance joints. Consequently, a novel general tribo-dynamic coupling model based on an absolute coordinate framework has been developed in this paper. The equations of motion for flexible multibody systems are formulated based on the absolute nodal coordinate formulation.

Controlled ankle motion (CAM) boots are commonly recommended to protect the foot-ankle complex in reducing loading, continuing ambulation, and maintaining daily activities. However, maintaining a normal and comfortable gait while wearing CAM boots is quite challenging. The added weight of the CAM boot, coupled with reduced ankle work capacity, hinders the full execution of gait parameters, leading to spatiotemporal asymmetry.
