Patients undergoing head and neck cancer treatment are prone to various orofacial complications, including immunosuppression, osteonecrosis of the jaw, mucositis, post-radiation caries, and xerostomia. Dental management can play a pivotal role in mitigating oral complications before, during, and after cancer treatment. This article identifies the most common neoplasms found in the head and neck region and their basic treatments as well as the sequalae of these treatments and the dental management of them.

Purpose Of Review: Osteoradionecrosis may often be prevented in context of interprofessional healthcare that includes dental specialists prior to and following completion of the patient's head and neck radiation therapy. Important factors, however, compromise delivery of guideline-concordant management of osteoradionecrosis (ORN), including patient access to this interprofessional care. This review is directed to these and related issues, in order to foster enhanced approaches for ORN management.

Unlabelled: Cavernous hemangiomas are venous malformations characterized by interconnected channels of abnormally dilated blood vessels having low flow of blood. Whilst venous malformations most commonly affect the head and neck region, isolated cavernous hemangiomas of the palatine tonsils are extremely rare; with only 4 cases being reported in the English Literature. We report a case of a 43-year-old female who was referred to us for the evaluation and management of a right tonsillar swelling.

Odontogenic maxillary sinusitis (OMS) is a condition presenting to both the dental and otolaryngologic practitioner. Common causes of OMS include dental implants, displacement of a maxillary tooth root tip during extraction, migration of materials used in root canal therapy or graft material in sinus lift procedure. A 68-year-old male patient presented with complaints of repeated episodes of sinusitis for about 3 months which was not responding to conservative management.
