We present a technique for combined anterior cruciate ligament and anteromedial oblique ligament reconstruction using the rectus femoris tendon graft. Anatomic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and anteromedial reinforcement are performed with a single rectus femoris graft. The rectus femoris tendon graft is harvested in a reproducible and minimally invasive approach. The surgical technique requires no special instruments and consists of 3 bone tunnels. Fixation is performed with interference screws.

Background: Patient-reported joint instability after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is difficult to quantify objectively. Here, we apply machine learning to cluster TKA subjects using nine literature-proposed gait parameters as knee instability predictors and explore cluster reliability and consistency with self-organizing map (SOM) and k-means computation.
Methods: Subjects with TKA were retrieved from a data repository, supplemented by TKA patients with self-reported knee instability.

This study investigated the effects of mental fatigue on rate of force development (RFD) and peak force during an isometric mid-thigh pull (IMTP), as well as its impact on muscle activation measured by electromyography (EMG) median frequency. Sixteen healthy, resistance-trained males completed two sessions: a control condition and a mentally fatigued state induced by a 30-minute modified Stroop task. IMTP performance and muscle activation were assessed before and after the mental fatigue task.

Early diagnosis of muscle wasting in critically ill patients with acute kidney injury requiring continuous kidney replacement therapy (AKI-CKRT) may improve outcomes timely rehabilitation and nutrition. Muscle ultrasound (MUS) has recently gained traction for assessing muscle atrophy in the intensive care unit (ICU) but requires training to achieve reproducibility. We evaluated the inter-rater reliability of MUS in patients with AKI-CKRT performed by multidisciplinary raters including nephrologists.
