Plantar pressure distribution measurement is significant for healthy monitoring and disease diagnosis. However, existing equipment lack of high-density resolution and may lead under-diagnosed of small abnormal regions. To address problem, we propose a special high resolution and low cost Baropodometry based on vision based tactile sensing (VBTS). Specially, we design a measurement platform with larger-scale sensing range (280 mm x 150 mm) and high-density resolution (440 ppi). To achieve the homogeneous illumination for the measure area, we also propose normally distributed light sources around the platform, and delicately adjust the incident angle to optimize the reconstruction performance. Besides, we design a example-based method to calibrate the platform and build a look-up table to reconstruct the plantar geometry from observed image. Experiments show the high lateral resolution that can discriminate the details (<2 mm), and the depth measurement accuracy is 68.5%. The experiments of reconstruction of plantar pressure depth map and identification of tumours show its' advantage for providing adaptive high-resolution plantar topography and pressure measurement.

Objectives: Both imaging and temporal artery biopsy (TAB) are utilized to confirm a suspected diagnosis of giant cell arteritis (GCA). What are the advantages of imaging over TAB?
Methods: This article is based on a debate presented at the 21st Vasculitis Meeting, discussing whether imaging or TAB with histology should be the primary diagnostic method for suspected GCA.
Results: A suspected diagnosis of GCA should be confirmed or excluded either through imaging or histology.

Purpose: Vision impairment (VI) has a profound impact on mental health and well-being. Music-based interventions, such as active music listening, have potential to induce relaxation, improve mood, and reduce stress. This study investigated the feasibility and acceptability of a supportive self-care music intervention in adults with acquired VI, who ran their listening program independently.

Introduction: The prevalence of osteoarthritis and postoperative neuropathic pain after arthroplasty highlights the necessity for improved pain management. Many patients develop chronic neuropathic pain, necessitating targeted interventions. Research on pregabalin's effectiveness in pain relief has yielded conflicting findings, necessitating further exploration to determine its therapeutic value.

The development of skeletal elements in fish is strongly influenced by the functional demands and environmental constraints they face during different life stages but mostly occurs during their larval development. One example of late modifications within the skeletal system is the adaptation of the skull and eye morphology that allows for amphibious vision in the four-eyed fishes Anableps spp. Another species that is equally capable of simultaneous aquatic and aerial vision, Rhinomugil corsula, has been widely neglected in this field of research, although it presents great opportunities for comparative analyses on the evolution of this ability.

This study aimed to develop a novel virtual reality (VR)-based binocular single vision (BSV) testing system for the quantitative assessment of diplopia and to evaluate its diagnostic accuracy and stability through clinical research. We first developed a VR-based BSV testing apparatus (VR-BSVT) using Oculus Quest 2 VR glasses and Unity software. The system provides three parameters for assessing subjects' binocular single vision function, and hence their diplopia: VR-BSVF (Virtual Reality-Based Binocular Single Vision Field area), VR-BSVD (Virtual Reality-Based Binocular Single Vision Distance), and VR-BAR (Virtual Reality-Based Binocular Single Vision Field area ratio).
