Objectives: People with childbearing potential and opioid use disorder (OUD) have high rates of unintended pregnancies. Addiction medicine providers occupy an important role in diagnosing and counseling those who become pregnant; however, no guidelines exist to facilitate these conversations. The function of the pollen tube in higher plants is to deliver two male gametes to the embryo sac to ensure successful double fertilization. During this process, many interactions occur among pollen tubes and pistil cells and tissues.
