circular RNA (circRNA) is a covalently closed single-stranded RNA that lacks 5' and 3' ends and has long been considered a noncoding RNA. With the development of high-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics technology, the understanding of circRNA has become increasingly advanced. Recent studies have shown that some cytoplasmic circRNAs can be effectively translated into detectable proteins, further indicating the importance of circRNA in cellular pathology and physiological functions. Internal ribosome entry site (IRES) and N-methyladenosine (mA) mediated cap-independent translation initiation are considered potential mechanisms of circRNA translation. Multiple circRNAs have been shown to play crucial roles in human cancer. This paper provides an overview of the nature and functions of circRNA and describes the possible mechanisms underlying the initiation of circRNA translation. We summarized the emerging functions of circRNA-encoded proteins in human cancer. Finally, we discuss the therapeutic potential of circRNAs and the challenges of research in this field. This review on circRNA translation will reveal a hidden human proteome and enhance our understanding of the importance of circRNAs in human malignant tumors.

Background: Research on the attitudes and support received by cancer survivors with preexisting severe mental health conditions (SMHC) from their families and oncology professionals is lacking.
Aims: To explore how individuals with SMHC perceive and experience family and oncology team attitudes and care.
Methods: Participants were 25 cancer survivors, 6 men and 18 women, aged 26-86 with preexisting SMHC.

Background: Gliomas represent the most aggressive malignancies of the central nervous system, with posttranslational modifications (PTMs) emerging as critical regulators of oncogenic processes through dynamic protein functional modulation. Despite their established role in tumor biology, the systematic characterization of PTM-mediated molecular mechanisms driving glioma progression remains unexplored. This study aims to uncover the molecular mechanisms of glioma, with a focus on the role of PTMs.

Desmoid-type fibromatosis (DTF) is a rare and locally aggressive benign tumor affecting the breasts. It is characterized by infiltrative growth and local recurrence, though it cannot metastasize. We present the case of a woman in her early 20s diagnosed with a palpable mass within her right breast.

Aim: While most splenic ruptures manifest as immediate hemorrhage, a minority of patients experience delayed rupture, which occurs days to weeks after the initial trauma. Although there have been reports of delayed splenic rupture following trauma, the exact pathophysiology of this condition and the appropriate treatment remain contentious. This article aims to further discuss and summarize the diagnosis and treatment protocols for delayed traumatic rupture of the spleen through the collection and analysis of existing clinical data, combined with previous literature.

Aim: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the Cancer Inflammation Prognostic Index (CIPI) and microsatellite instability (MSI), tumor budding, and prognosis in colorectal cancer cases.
Methods: Patients with stage 1-3 colorectal cancer who underwent curative surgical treatment between May 2020 and January 2022 were included. Serum CIPI was calculated, a cut-off point was established using Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) analysis and Patients were divided into two groups according to their CIPI scores: Group 1 (low CIPI) consisted of 94 patients, and Group 2 (high CIPI) consisted of 95 patients.
