Background: Globally, poor diet is responsible for about 8 million deaths for non-communicable diseases, including cancers, in 2019. One strategy to promote healthier choices by informing consumers about food nutritional properties is the Front-Of-Pack Nutrition Labels, like Nutri-Score. Our study investigated the association between the updated Nutrient Profiling System (uNS-NPS), underlying Nutri-Score, and Colorectal Cancer (CRC) risk.

Introduction: Long COVID is characterized by diverse symptoms persisting after severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). Given the immunomodulatory and neuroprotective properties of vitamin D, understanding its role in long COVID symptoms is of growing interest. This study aimed to determine vitamin D status in children with COVID-19 and assess its impact on the clinical course of disease and long COVID development.

Background And Purpose: There are some new results that the angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB) therapy may associate with a lower risk of epilepsy. However, its pathomechanism and the patient characteristics are lacking. We asses, whether ARB therapy is associates with lower incidence of acute symptomatic seizures, compared with no ARB therapy in patients with acute stroke.

Neurodegeneration is characterized by the progressive loss of neurons commonly attributed to neurological causes. Studies published over the past two decades suggest that neurodegeneration may occur due to systemic diseases that compromise energy metabolism throughout the body. This metabolic imbalance develops over decades before neurodegeneration is clinically documented or inferred.
