Purpose: Frequency doubling of neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd-YAG) laser results in emission of photocoagulating 532 nm light compared with photolytic 1064 nm emission. The ergonomic benefits of solid-state lasers led to replacement of older coagulating lasers in ophthalmic centres by frequency-doubled Nd-YAG laser. Our study aims to evaluate safety and efficacy of frequency-doubled Nd-YAG laser for photocoagulation of corneal neovascularisation (NLPC).
Methods: 30 quiet eyes of 28 patients with superficial, mid-stromal and deep stromal inactive corneal neovascularisation were subjected to laser photocoagulation. Resolution of vessels, procedural complications and survival of subsequent corneal grafts were monitored for 3 months. Anterior segment fluorescein angiography (AS-FA) was performed in six eyes to confirm the cessation of blood flow.
Results: 20 eyes (66.66%) had complete resolution of neovascularisation. 13 cases of superficial (92.86%) and 6 cases of mid-stromal neovascularisation (75%) showed significant resolution, compared with 1 case of deep neovascularisation (12.5%). Minimal corneal burn (n=4, 13.33%), iris holes (n=3, 10%), anterior chamber bubbles (n=5, 16.67%), self-resolving intrastromal bleed (n=2, 6.67%) and graft-host junctional wound leak (n=1 of 12 keratoplasty cases, 8.33%) were noted.
Conclusion: NLPC may especially be useful in the eyes with a large vessel arborising within stroma. Lack of comparison with other treatment options leading to inflated safety and efficacy profile of NLPC is the major limitation of this study.

Introduction: Transient stress urinary incontinence (SUI) after holmium laser enucleation of prostate (HoLEP) is commonly linked to intraoperative injury of the external urethral sphincter (EUS). We assessed the reliability of the post-HoLEP endoscopic appearance of the membranous urethra mucosa (MUM) in predicting post-HoLEP continence.
Methods: Forty HoLEPs were prospectively recorded by an artificial intelligence video platform capable of segmenting clips by surgical steps.

Semiconductor devices often rely on high-purity materials and interfaces achieved through vapor- and vacuum-based fabrication methods, which can enable precise compositional control down to single atomic layers. Compared to groups IV and III-V semiconductors, hybrid perovskites (HPs) are an emergent class of semiconductor materials with remarkable solution processability and compositional variability that have facilitated rapid experimentation to achieve new properties and progress toward efficient devices, particularly for solar cells. Surprisingly, vapor deposition techniques for HPs are substantially less developed, despite the complementary benefits that have secured vapor methods as workhorse tools for semiconductor fabrication.

Ultrafast laser processing is a critical technology for micro- and nano-fabrication due to its ability to minimize heat-affected zones. The effects of intensity variation on the ultrafast laser ablation of fused silica were investigated to gain fundamental insights into the dynamic modulation of pulse intensity. This study revealed significant enhancement in ablation efficiency for downward ramp intensity modulation compared to the upward ramp.

Background: Peri-implantitis represents a significant challenge in dental implantology, characterized by inflammatory reactions around osseointegrated dental implants that lead to progressive alveolar bone loss.
Objectives: To generate a scoping review that evaluates the efficacy of implantoplasty and Er:YAG laser therapies in managing peri-implantitis by synthesizing recent evidence on their impact on key clinical parameters-including probing depth reduction, bleeding on probing improvement, and marginal bone level stabilization-and to explore the potential synergistic benefits of combining these modalities for enhanced treatment outcomes.
Material And Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted in PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, and Web of Science for studies published from January 2018 to the present.

Purpose: To assess differences in efficacy and safety between Thulium:YAG laser enucleation of the prostate (ThuLEP) and enucleation performed with the Holmium:YAG Cyber Ho laser generator (HoLEP) with Magneto technology (Quanta System®).
Methods: Patients with surgical indication for benign prostatic hyperplasia underwent ThuLEP using Cyber TM generator (Group A) versus HoLEP using Cyber Ho generator with Magneto technology (Group B). In Group A settings were 100W for enucleation and 35W for coagulation.
