Purpose: Medically tailored transitional foods (TFs) may be a clinically viable alternative to pureed consistency for individuals requiring texture-modified foods. However, little remains known about the performance of TFs during the swallow. The purpose of this investigation was to describe oropharyngeal swallowing physiology in patients with dysphagia during consumption of TFs as compared to pureed solids.

Background: Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is one of the deadliest respiratory viruses. There is a need to better identify prognostic factors in RSV-infected patients, particularly those requiring intensive care unit (ICU) admission, with a focus on immunosuppressed patients.
Methods: Multicenter, retrospective cohort study of RSV-infected adults hospitalized in 17 ICUs in the Great Paris area between 08/01/2017 and 05/01/2023.
Background: In Germany, the incidence of traumatic spinal cord injury is approximately 16 per million inhabitants per year. This article aims to present evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic measures for the first 14 days after injury to minimize neural damage, prevent complications, and preserve functioning as much as possible.
Methods: After the formulation of key questions, systematic literature searches were carried out on multiple topics.

Objectives: This study evaluates a staged selective hybrid approach for acute type A aortic dissection. The approach involves a zone 2 aortic arch replacement with debranching of the brachiocephalic trunk and left common carotid artery to create a landing zone for thoracic endovascular aortic repair. This repair is performed either preemptively in the subacute phase to promote remodelling or electively in the chronic phase to manage aneurysm formation.
