Jacoby is transferred to , here described. The new genus belongs to the group of Afrotropical genera traditionally attributed to the group: Bechyné, Heyden, Gerstaecker, Chevrolat, and Fairmaire. A diagnostic key to these genera, and the list of species currently attributed to and are provided based on type material and original species descriptions.
