The importance of the ratio of pulse oxygen saturation to fraction of inspired oxygen (S/F) has been increasingly highlighted. In recent years, multiple clinical studies have confirmed the diagnostic and prognostic value of S/F and its derived parameters in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Hence, the 2023 new global definition of ARDS recommended using S/F as both diagnostic criteria and for severity stratification of ARDS. However, there is currently no established Chinese nomenclature for S/F. Considering its inherent meaning, differentiation, and clinical utility, the authors propose the Chinese nomenclature"pulse oxygen index"for S/F. Establishing this nomenclature will facilitate the promotion and application of S/F in academic communication and clinical practice, as well as the new global definition of ARDS.

A global treatment algorithm was developed for the endovascular revascularization of femoropopliteal lesions and chronic total occlusions, aiming toward a more standardized approach to endovascular treatment in patients with peripheral artery disease. The following steps are proposed. 1) Evaluation of lesion morphology based on preprocedural imaging by Duplex sonography and intravenous ultrasound for selection of lesion preparation tools.

Neglect of one side of space, typically contralateral to a lesion of one cerebral hemisphere, is a multicomponent neurologic syndrome. In humans, left neglect after right brain damage is more frequent, severe, or both, than right neglect after left brain damage. Right neglect is behaviorally like left neglect.

Background: Heart failure (HF) remains a significant global health issue and poses challenges to patient families and healthcare systems through index hospitalizations and subsequent readmissions. The readmission rate has been utilized as a quality indicator, and a proportion of readmissions are perceived preventable. However, the definitions and measures of preventability remain unclear and inconsistent, lacking an explicit integration, analysis, and critique of current evidence.

Background: Telenursing has become prevalent in providing care to diverse populations experiencing different health conditions both in Israel and globally. The nurse-patient relationship aims to improve the condition of individuals requiring health services.
Objectives: This study aims to evaluate nursing graduates' skills and knowledge regarding remote nursing care prior to and following a simulation-based telenursing training program in an undergraduate nursing degree.

Background: Hospital studies suggest that scrub typhus is a leading cause of severe undifferentiated fever in regions across Asia where the disease is endemic, but the population-based incidence of infection and illness has been little studied.
Methods: We conducted a population-based cohort study to assess epidemiologic and clinical characteristics of scrub typhus in 37 villages in Tamil Nadu, India, where the disease is highly endemic. Study participants were visited every 6 to 8 weeks over a period of 2 years; a venous blood sample was obtained from those who had had fever since the last visit.
