Background: Vernal keratoconjunctivitis (VKC) is a bilateral, chronic, allergic inflammation of the ocular surface with debilitating ocular signs and symptoms. We compared the efficacies and safeties of 1% tacrolimus eye drops and 1% dexamethasone eye drops in managing unilateral shield ulcers and corneal epitheliopathy secondary to VKC.
Methods: We recruited patients with unilateral shield ulcer and corneal epitheliopathy secondary to VKC in a tertiary referral center in southeast Iran during a 12-month period.

This case report presents a 53-year-old male with a five-month history of ongoing purpuric, blistering, and ulcerative rash on his bilateral lower extremities that extended upward to his torso, back, and upper extremities. Although the patient was placed on numerous antibiotics, the rash persisted and continued to cause the patient distress. During his multiple hospital admissions, repeated wound cultures grew , , , , and recurrent methicillin-resistant (MRSA).

Introduction: Chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) is a complex condition characterized by venous hypertension that can cause pain, swelling, edema, skin changes, or ulcerations of the leg, involving either the deep or superficial venous system. Venous ulcerations result from elevated ambulatory venous pressure or venous hypertension, leading to limb edema. The mainstay of treatment for this edema has been and continues to be compression therapy.

Pelvic radiation for gynecological malignancies may induce several acute and late complications. Among those, skin and soft tissue radionecrosis at the trochanteric region represents a rare event, associated with significant morbidity. The therapeutic approach for those deep and large trochanteric defects is challenging, requiring a combination of radical debridement of the necrotic tissue and reconstruction using pedicled or free flaps.
