Anti-synthetase syndrome (ASS) is a rare autoimmune disorder characterized by interstitial lung disease (ILD), myositis, and arthritis, primarily associated with antibodies, such as anti-Jo-1, that target the t-ribonucleic acid (tRNA) synthetase enzymes. This case report describes a 45-year-old man who presented with isolated flexor tenosynovitis and bilateral hand pain, later diagnosed with anti-Jo-1 positive ASS. Initially, the patient's symptoms were attributed to a trivial injury, but subsequent imaging and laboratory evaluations revealed tenosynovitis without signs of inflammatory arthritis. Positive anti-Jo-1 antibodies and later elevated creatine kinase (CK) levels indicated the development of myositis, supported by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings and muscle biopsies showing mild inflammatory features. The patient was treated with prednisone and mycophenolate mofetil, resulting in significant clinical improvement and resolution of symptoms. This case highlights an atypical presentation of ASS, with isolated tenosynovitis as an initial symptom, which is not commonly documented in the literature. The findings underscore the importance of considering ASS in patients with unexplained inflammatory symptoms and highlight the role of comprehensive clinical evaluation and antibody testing in guiding diagnosis. By recognizing the variable clinical manifestations of ASS, clinicians can facilitate earlier diagnosis and prompt treatment, improving patient outcomes.

Pyogenic flexor tenosynovitis (FTS) is a rapidly progressing infection of the flexor tendon sheath synovial fluid. Bacterial seeding most often occurs from trauma overlying the sheath followed by swift proximal propagation. FTS is an uncommon but high morbidity disease that emergency physicians must identify early to prevent devastating complications such as tendon rupture, digit necrosis, and sepsis.

We report a case of an immunocompetent individual who was diagnosed with fungal tenosynovitis of the wrist caused by , a yeast in the Saccharomycetales order that has never been reported to cause infections in humans. The yeast grew in routine culture and was sent to a reference laboratory for identification and susceptibility testing. The patient ultimately received six surgeries and five months of antifungal therapy, including micafungin and voriconazole, before clinical resolution.

Background: Tenosynovitis caused by impingement syndrome of the flexor hallucis longus tendon is a condition that can often be encountered in professional athletes such as football players, ballet dancers, etc. This report aims to familiarize the reader with methods for recognizing impingement syndrome of the dorsal part of the ankle joint, methods for its treatment and to present a case report with such a pathology.
Materials And Method: Pain in tenosynovitis of the flexor hallucis longus tendon can be provoked by placing the foot and first finger in maximal dorsiflexion, where the pain is localized in the area dorsal to the medial malleolus.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to use a national database to determine if either surgical or nonsurgical management of pyogenic flexor tenosynovitis (PFT) led to specific superior outcomes.
Methods: International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision codes were used to identify patients admitted with PFT from the National Readmissions Database for the years 2016-2019. All patients had been admitted initially and treated with either surgical or nonsurgical management.
