Importance: Several noninvasive tests for colorectal cancer screening are available, but their effectiveness in settings with low adherence to screening and follow-up colonoscopy is not well documented.

Objective: To assess the cost-effectiveness of and outcomes associated with noninvasive colorectal cancer screening strategies, including new blood-based tests, in a population with low adherence to screening and ongoing surveillance colonoscopy.

Design, Setting, And Participants: The validated microsimulation model used for the decision analytical modeling study projected screening outcomes from 2025 to 2124 for a simulated cohort of 10 million individuals aged 50 years in 2025 and representative of a predominantly Hispanic or Latino patient population served by a Federally Qualified Health Center in Southern California.

The prognosis for esophageal cancer is determined in particular by the depth of infiltration (T stage) and lymph node metastasis (N status). In patients with locally advanced tumors, surgical resection is the current standard. The extent of the lymphadenectomy depends on the localization of the tumor, analogous to the choice of surgical technique.

BACKGROUND Surgery involving the right retroperitoneum can result in lymphatic (chylous) leakage from the cisterna chyli located anterior to the L1 and L2 vertebra or from lymph node dissection. This report describes a 46-year-old woman with retroperitoneal lymphatic (chylous) leak following right adrenalectomy for a nonfunctional adrenal adenoma. CASE REPORT A 46-year-old woman presented with a medical history of hypertension.

Cervical dilatation, uterine evacuation, and curettage (D&E&C) are common gynecological procedures for abortion, yet they carry risks of complications such as uterine perforation and intra-abdominal organ incarceration. Here, we report a rare case of a breastfeeding patient who had an embedded abdominal greater omentum in the anterior wall of the uterus and into the uterine cavity during D&E&C. We used combined hysteroscopic and laparoscopic treatment for this case and successfully removed the embedded greater omentum.
