Splenosis is the implantation of splenic tissue into other organs following splenectomy or traumatic spleen injury. It typically manifests in the peritoneal cavity but can appear in other locations. Splenic nodules are often incidentally discovered during imaging, with nuclear scintigraphy being the gold standard for recognition. We report a case of splenosis found incidentally upon computed tomography for evaluation of chronic anemia in the anterior perirectal space of a 74-year-old man who had previously undergone splenectomy. Despite advances in imaging techniques, tissue examination is necessary to confirm suspected splenosis and exclude neoplastic processes, and image-guided fine-needle aspiration biopsy is a valuable tool to this end. Our case was diagnosed by endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration biopsy with ancillary immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry. Cytomorphological features alone may not be sufficient to recognize splenosis; ancillary immunostaining can highlight littoral cells lining the red pulp sinuses, with characteristic positive expression of CD8, WT1, ERG, and CD68, helping clinch the diagnosis.

Purpose: Traditional methods, fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) and washout thyroglobulin (Tg), do not always provide sufficient accuracy for diagnosing lymph node (LN) metastasis in thyroid cancer. This study aimed to validate the diagnostic performance of washout cytokeratin fragment 21-1 (CYFRA 21-1) as a complementary biomarker for diagnosing metastatic LNs in thyroid cancer and to explore its relationship with molecular analysis and distant metastasis.
Patients And Methods: In this retrospective cohort study involving 230 LNs in 224 patients with PTC, FNAC, washout Tg, and CYFRA 21-1 levels were measured in suspicious LNs.

Thyroid cancer remains one of the leading endocrine malignancies with Conventional Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma (CVPTC) being the most commonly reported cancer. Caseating granulomatous inflammation is an unusual presentation in the thyroid even in places with high incidence of tuberculosis. The association of CVPTC with caseating granulomatous inflammation is infrequent.

Endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration for the gastric lesion revealed adenocarcinoma cells. We thus considered carcinomas arising from heterotopic submucosal gastric glands and metastases from the pancreatic lesion as differential diagnoses.

Tuberculosis is a common disease in India but even then Primary tuberculosis of Thyroid gland is an extremely rare clinical scenario. Diagnosis of this rare disease requires very high level of clinical suspicion as the clinical features have no distinct characteristics and usually mimic with bacterial thyroiditis, thyrotoxicosis, thyroid carcinoma, lymphoma etc. Historically most of patients were diagnosed through histopathology in post operative thyroidectomy specimens.

Thyroglossal duct cysts are congenital neck cysts, formed as a result of the failure of the thyroglossal duct to involute during embryogenesis. We present a case of a 55- year-old male who presented with a history of a large anterior neck mass measuring 11 x 8.5 cm.
