Aim: This study designed to evaluate the effect of adjuvant therapies on the intensity of post-treatment pain after single-visit RCT in molars with symptomatic apical periodontitis.

Method: ology: This trial was reported according PRIRATE 2020 guidelines and registered with CTRI/2019/03/018,153.100 patients diagnosed with symptomatic apical periodontitis with a preoperative pain allocated to 4 groups,Group-1: placebo,Group-2:Intraligamentary injection of dexamethasone, Group-3:cryotherapy, Group-4: laser therapy. Patients were instructed to record postoperative pain intensity and intake of analgesics after 6,12,24,48 & 72 h. Intergroup pain intensity was tested by using the Kruskal-Wallis test. The need for painkillers between groups was analyzed using Chi-square test. P value of <0.05 was considered statistically significant.R: Patients in the placebo group exhibited higher intensity. Group 3 showed lesser pain at all-time intervals.

Conclusion: All the adjuvant pain management therapies reduced the intensity of postoperative pain and the frequency of intake of analgesics.

Objectives: This study aims to compare the effects of high-intensity laser therapy (HILT) and quadriceps muscle strengthening exercises using biofeedback on pain and function in patients with knee osteoarthritis (KOA).

Methods: This randomized, two-group clinical trial included patients with KOA (grades II - III of the Lawrence Kellgren classification) who met the inclusion criteria. Written informed consent was obtained from participants before they were randomly allocated into one of two groups: HILT + therapeutic exercise (group A) or quadriceps muscle strengthening exercises using biofeedback + therapeutic exercise (group B).

A lysosome-targeting chimera (LYTAC) offers a novel strategy for degrading extracellular proteins previously considered to be undruggable by hijacking the lysosomal degradation system. However, clinical use of LYTAC has been limited due to the potential for uncontrolled degradation and systemic toxicity. Based on our previously developed genetically encoded TfR-LYTAC, here, we introduce a photothermal-inducible switch in the engineered bacterium to enable spatiotemporal expression of TfR-LYTAC.

Repairing hard tissues, such as bones, remains a significant challenge, especially in adverse clinical conditions. Calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA), a calcium phosphate (CaP), has structural and chemical characteristics similar to the mineral structure of human bones and teeth, offering bioactivity and biocompatibility properties. Photobiomodulation (PBM) uses light to reduce inflammation and accelerate tissue healing.

The application of light-emitting diode (LED)-dependent photobiomodulation (PBM) in promoting post-tendon injury healing has been recently reported. Despite establishing a theoretical basis for ligament restoration through PBM, identifying effective LED wavelength combinations and ensuring safety in animal models remain unresolved challenges. In our previous study, we demonstrated that combined irradiation at 630 nm and 880 nm promotes cell proliferation and migration, which are critical processes during the early stage of tendon healing in human-derived tendon fibroblasts.

is a rare opportunistic bacterium not commonly found in healthy individuals or animals has increasing clinical significance in both veterinary and human medicine due to its multidrug resistance and biofilm-forming ability. This study analyzed 12 isolates of collected from humans and cats and identified them using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) and and partial B gene sequencing. All of the were phenotypically resistant to penicillin, and almost all (except one human strain) were resistant to methicillin.
