CDK 4/6 inhibitors are effectively utilized among patients with hormone-positive, HER-2-negative metastatic breast cancer. The dose reduction for these patients varies between 35% and 57% across multiple trials. We aim to clarify the characteristics of patients who had dosage reduction and the effect of this reduction on survival outcomes. The study was designed as a retrospective, multicenter study. Patients who received CDK 4/6 inhibitors in the first-line and subsequent treatment settings were grouped based on dose reductions. Progression-free survival was compared between these groups, and factors influencing dose reduction were analyzed. Multivariate logistic regression study demonstrated that patients aged 65 and older, with a Charlson CI score of 2 or higher, having metastases in three or more sites, and classed as normal weight, had greater dosage reductions. Dose reduction had no impact on progression-free survival (PFS) ( = 0.114 for first-line treatment, = 0.528 for second and subsequent-line treatment; > 0.05). Regarding the absence of disparity in progression-free survival between patients with dose reduction and those without, dose reduction should not be avoided in certain patient groups to ensure therapy continuity and mitigate potential adverse effects.

Background: Several microalgae and macro-algae have been showed considerable promise bio-material in various multidisciplinary fields. l-asparaginase (l- ASase) have a greater reduction effect on the formation of acrylamide in heated carbohydrate food products such as potato chips and bakery produced at high temperatures (above 120 °C). Acrylamide showed neurotoxic and carcinogenic effects in experimental animals and humans.

Microbiological sampling and testing are widely utilized in food safety risk management. We developed risk assessments to quantify the impact of various sampling plans on the risk of invasive listeriosis to consumers. We used the FDA-iRISK® tool and adapted available process, consumption, and dose response modules of published L.

Background: Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS) and Dravet syndrome (DS) are rare and debilitating forms of epilepsy, characterised by recurrent, severe, drug-resistant seizures and neurodevelopmental impairments. A non-euphoric, plant-derived, highly purified formulation of cannabidiol (CBD; Epidyolex®, 100 mg/mL oral solution) is approved in the European Union and United Kingdom for use in patients aged ≥2 years for the adjunctive treatment of seizures associated with LGS or DS in conjunction with clobazam (CLB), and for the adjunctive treatment of seizures associated with tuberous sclerosis complex in patients aged ≥2 years.

Methods: We performed a retrospective chart review of patients with treatment-resistant epilepsies who were treated with adjunctive CBD at six epilepsy centres in Germany.

Pituitary neuroendocrine tumors (PitNETS) are common intracranial tumors, but extrasellar or ectopic PitNETS are very rare and supposed to originate from some pituitary remnants. They are mostly found in sphenoidal sinus. But particularly, ectopic clival PitNETS are highly aggressive and can cause bone invasion and can be misdiagnosed as other lesions of the skull base such as chordomas.

Recurrent ischemic priapism is a common complication of sickle cell anemia (SCA) and is associated with devastating physical and psychosocial consequences. All previous trials for priapism prevention have failed to demonstrate clear efficacy. We conducted a randomized, controlled, double-blind phase 2 feasibility trial comparing fixed moderate-dose hydroxyurea plus placebo (usual care arm) versus fixed moderate-dose hydroxyurea plus tadalafil (experimental arm) in 64 men (18- 40 years) with at least three episodes of SCA-related priapism in the past 12 months.
