Background: There are large individual differences in weight loss and maintenance. Metabolic testing can provide phenotypical information that can be used to personalize treatment so that people remain in negative energy balance during weight loss and remain in energy balance during maintenance. Behavioral testing can assess the reinforcing value and change in the temporal window related to the personalized diet and exercise program to motivate people to maintain engagement in healthier eating and activity programs.

Rationale And Objectives: Pericoronary adipose tissue (PCAT) is a key cardiovascular risk biomarker, yet its temporal changes after heart transplantation (HT) and comparison with controls remain unclear. This study investigates the temporal changes of PCAT in stable HT recipients and compares it to controls.
Materials And Methods: In this study, we analyzed 159 stable HT recipients alongside two control groups.

Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), as one of the most prevalent complications of diabetes, leads to significant pain and financial burden to patients. Currently, there was no effective treatment for DPN since the glucose control was just a prevention and the drug therapy only relieved the DPN pain. East Asian populations exhibit a high burden of atrial fibrillation (AF) and AF-related ischemic strokes. The countries/regions in East Asia have diversities regarding patient characteristics and varying patient care represented by different adherence rates to the ABC (Atrial Fibrillation Better Care) pathway. Two changes, "from non-anticoagulation to direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs)" and "from lower dosing to appropriate dosing DOACs", have been identified in East Asia and have been temporally linked to improved clinical outcomes in AF patients.

Temporal hollowing is a common aesthetic concern addressed with filler injections using an anatomy-based approach. Understanding the complex anatomy of the temporal region, including the superficial temporal artery, temporal branch of the facial nerve, and sentinel vein, is essential for safe and effective treatment. Injection planes-subfascial, within the superficial temporal fat pad, or submuscular-are selected based on individual anatomy and desired outcomes.
