Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) was combined with stoichiometric analysis to synthesize a AuNPs@MIL-100 (Fe) SERS substrate. This high-performance, and low-cost metal-organic framework-based SERS nano sensor is capable of detecting malachite green (MG) residues in fish. The minimum detectable  concentration of MG in standard solutions is 0.1 μg/L, while in fish samples, the detection range spanned from 0.003-0.088 μg/kg. The partial least squares regression (PLSR) and support vector machine regression (SVR) were applied to model the SERS data, enhancing both the precision and reliability of the detection. The results show that compared with the traditional linear regression and PLSR models, the prediction accuracy of the SVR model is an  improvement with higher stability. MG standard solutions and three fish samples can  be analysed directly or after simple extraction. This method can be used to detect trace harmful substances in different aquatic products.

The present paper deals with the synthesis, characterization, and properties of sol-gel-derived TiO/TeO/NbO nanopowders. The gels were prepared using a combination of organic [Ti (IV) n-butoxide, Nb (V) ethoxide (CHNbO)] and inorganic [telluric acid (HTeO)] precursors. The aging of gels was performed in air for several days in order to enable further hydrolysis.

Persistent organic pollutants pose significant environmental and health risks, highlighting the urgent need for highly sensitive sensing technologies capable of detecting trace concentrations. In this study, we synthesized a ReS/ZnO/Au ternary surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) substrate via a simple hydrothermal and reduction method based on a novel strategy that leverages multiple charge transfer channels to significantly enhance SERS performance. The unique bandgap and energy level alignment of ReS facilitate both excitonic resonance and charge transfer transitions.

Although multiphase catalysts with large sizes exhibit excellent recyclability and low toxicity in heterogeneous Fenton reactions, their reactivity, reusability and storage stability for degradation of organic contaminants still need improvement, which is essential for treating complex wastewater and ensuring environmental sustainability. In this study, the waste cotton textiles were firstly used as the carbon source to generate a novel millimeter-sized catalyst (Fe/FeC@HBC) with a honeycomb-like structure, which could effectively activate HO to realize rapid removal of ofloxacin (OFL) (100% in 10 min). It achieved remarkable removal performance across a broad temperature range (4-40 °C) and high-concentration OFL.

In this paper, bamboo biochar was prepared and used for laccase immobilization. Biochar was prepared under different conditions (pyrolysis temperature, heating rate and dwell time) to understand biochar characteristics impacts on enzyme activity. The results showed that the preparation conditions had an important effect on the content of carboxyl groups on biochar.
