Background: To compare anterior scleral thickness (AST) in Turkish patients with open-angle glaucoma (primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) and pseudoexfoliation glaucoma (PEG)) with healthy controls.
Methods: This prospective study involved 41 patients with PEG, 69 patients with POAG, and 46 healthy controls. We obtained spectral domain anterior segment optical coherence tomography (AS-OCT) images from the nasal and temporal quadrants and made AST measurements of 1 mm (AST), 2 mm (AST2), 3 mm (AST3), and 4 mm (AST4) posterior to the scleral spur (SS). Schlemm's canal (SC) diameter and area measurements were performed using the ImageJ software. The results were compared statistically.
Results: The average ASTs of the groups did not differ significantly (p > 0.05 for each). The analysis of the nasal SC diameter revealed a significant decrease in the POAG group in comparison with the PEG group, with no difference observed between the POAG and control groups (p = 0.038*). The mean nasal and temporal SC area was significantly smaller in the PEG and POAG groups compared with the control group (p < 0.001** and p < 0.001**, respectively).
Conclusions: There was no significant difference in nasal and temporal AST between groups; however, the SC area was found to be smaller in glaucoma groups compared with healthy controls. The present findings should be supported by further studies.

Purpose: To evaluate the modified double-flanged technique in cases of subluxated foldable single-piece intraocular lenses (IOLs).
Methods: This retrospective study was conducted on 14 eyes of 14 patients. The following steps were performed in the surgical technique, respectively;the dislocated foldable single-piece IOL was repositioned into the anterior chamber, and the haptic was extracted through the corneal main incision.
Purpose: To investigate the association of local ciliary body morphology with the haptic position and peripheral vault.
Methods: This retrospective observational study included 95 eyes of 59 patients treated with the EVO Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) (STAAR Surgical). Ciliary body morphology parameters (ciliary process length [CPL], ciliary sulcus width [CSW], and scleral spur-ciliary process distance [SCD]), the relative position of ICL haptic to the ciliary process, the haptic-related parameters (the final tip point of ICL haptic [ftICL haptic] and lowest point of ICL haptic), and peripheral vault in the location of each haptic were measured with ultrasound biomicroscopy 3 months after surgery.

Background: Eye function is vitally dependent on an adequate blood supply, primarily provided by the ophthalmic artery, an internal carotid artery branch. This review provides an overview of the vascular supply of the eye.
Methods: A targeted search of PubMed / MEDLINE was performed using the terms "central retinal vein," "central retinal artery," "internal carotid artery," "ophthalmic artery," "ophthalmic vein," "posterior ciliary arteries," "retinal capillaries," "vascular supply of the eye," "ocular vascular supply," "external carotid artery," and "vortex vein".

Background: To present the iridectomy combined with posterior approach anterior chamber gas injection technique for the treatment of extensive Descemet's membrane detachment (DMD), which is a novel surgical approach for the management of DMD after phacoemulsification.
Case Presentation: The surgical technique was performed on a 68-year-old female with a history of cataract phacoemulsification surgery and two times of anterior chamber gas injection to treat DMD. After creating a scleral tunnel at 4 o'clock of the limbus, the iris root in that direction was cut off.

Senile scleral plaques are localized, calcified deposits typically occurring bilaterally in elderly patients and are often asymptomatic. They usually appear near the insertion of the rectus muscles and are associated with age-related changes in the sclera. In rare cases, a senile scleral plaque can occur unilaterally and may mimic the appearance of an intraocular foreign body (IOFB) especially in a post-traumatic case.
