Despite a decline in global incidence, gastric cancer (GC) remains a major health concern. The development of GC is a sequential, multistage maladaptive process involving numerous different factors. Understanding the complexity of GC development is crucial for early detection, effective treatment, and, ultimately, prevention. In this respect, identifying the impact of risk factors contributing to the emergence or progression of GC, such as Helicobacter pylori infection, host and bacterial genetics, alcohol consumption, smoking, and preserved foods, will aid in combatting this disease. In this review, we focus on recent developments in understanding the role of the microbiome, dysfunctional molecular pathways, and immune evasion in gastric pathophysiology. We also highlight challenges and advances in treatment of GC.

Introduction: Loss of appetite is a neglected condition in individuals with spinal cord injury, often assessed as an emotional issue, without considering the autonomic dysfunctions that decrease gastric afferents, altering hunger perception, to the same extent as it causes autonomic dysreflexia, neurogenic bladder, and neurogenic bowel related to the interruption of information flow between effector organs and the brain. The objective of the report the side effect of appetite from the robotic exoskeleton for lower limbs with direct ground weight unloading.
Case Presentation: A 30-year-old man with a complete SCI (T8, AIS A) and no appetite perception since the injury experienced an unexpected recovery of appetite during exoskeleton-assisted walking therapy.

Background: Aberrant interoceptive processing has been hypothesized to contribute to the pathophysiology of functional neurological disorder, although findings have been inconsistent. Here, we utilized functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to examine neural correlates of interoceptive attention - the conscious focus and awareness of bodily sensations - in functional movement disorder (FMD).
Methods: We used voxelwise analyses to compare blood oxygenation level-dependent responses between 13 adults with hyperkinetic FMD and 13 healthy controls (HCs) during a task requiring attention to different bodily sensations and to an exteroceptive stimulus.
