Quantitative research has demonstrated that many individuals with eating disorders (EDs) present with PTSD (ED-PTSD). Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) has been integrated into the overall treatment for ED-PTSD, but qualitative data on the effectiveness of this approach is lacking. Ten patients with ED-PTSD completed 12 sessions of CPT during residential treatment (RT).

The assessment of professionalism in healthcare disciplines is a challenging and nuanced topic in medical education. The literature, although continually emerging, remains in its infancy in regards to the role of the assessment of professionalism, appropriate timing for assessment, methods to assess professionalism and the benefits and implications of assessment of professionalism. With emergence of healthcare professionalism in both undergraduate and postgraduate curricula and increasing awareness of professionalism's pertinent role in developing as a healthcare practitioner, the concept of assessing this topic is being discussed regularly in international fora, but as yet there is no consensus decision in how best to proceed.

Background: The evolution of medical standards in stigmatized areas like abortion is influenced by medical, political, and social factors. Self-sourcing and managing medication abortion (SSMA) is on the rise in the United States, where individuals obtain medications to end their pregnancies outside traditional medical settings. Physician attitudes towards SSMA are not well understood, despite physicians' role in setting care standards, providing medical oversight, and de-stigmatizing healthcare both within and outside clinical environments.
