is a urease-producing bacterium that has a tendency to colonize the gastric mucosa. can cause atrophic gastritis and gastric intestinal metaplasia (GIM). has also been associated with MALT lymphoma, which is an extranodal marginal zone lymphoma. The gold standard for the diagnosis of is histopathological analysis from biopsied gastric mucosa. MALT lymhoma can have a wide range of clinical manifestations, such as epigastric pain, iron-deficiency anemia, and overt upper gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding. MALT lymphoma has been rarely associated with headaches. We describe a case of -positive MALToma manifesting as epigastric pain occurring concomitantly with throbbing headaches; hence, headache can be a heralding symptom for the diagnosis of MALToma.

Gastric ulcer (GU) is a disease characterized by ulcerative lesions on the surface of the stomach mucosa caused mainly by health-related conditions, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) use, and Helicobacter pylori infections. The treatment for this disease requires that the drug remains in contact with the site of action, however, the residence time of conventional dosage forms in this organ is limited due to gastric emptying. Curcumin (CUR) is a compound obtained from the rhizomes of the Curcuma longa plant and has been used in traditional Indian medicine for many centuries.

Peptic ulcer is a prevalent gastrointestinal illness. The aim is to investigate the possible implication of cyclooxygenase (COX)-1/2 and 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) signaling pathways in apigenin therapeutic effect on acetic acid-induced chronic gastric ulcer maintained with indomethacin. Rats were divided into 5 groups (n = 10): control, ulcer, omeprazole+ulcer, apigenin+ulcer, and apigenin only groups.

Xiao Jianzhong Granules (XJZG), a well-known traditional prescription with protective effects on the gastric mucosa, as documented in the Treatise on Typhoid and Miscellaneous Diseases. Clinical studies have proven that XJZG exhibits significant anti-colitis properties and effectively alleviates duodenal ulcers. However, despite its clinical popularity, comprehensive studies on its chemical composition and in vivo metabolism remain limited.

Gastric cancer (GC) is a prevalent malignant tumor that originates from the epithelial cells of the gastric mucosa, predominantly in the form of adenocarcinoma. Extensive research has confirmed the significant role of autophagy in the initiation, progression, and chemoresistance of GC. The potential of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to exert anti-tumor effects by modulating autophagy has been demonstrated, particularly in the context of GC prevention and treatment.

Objective: To investigate immune cell crisis and excess histopathological features during the development and progression of infection in the gastric mucosa.

Methods: One thousand two hundred and seventy-six cases of infection were examined by endoscopic biopsy and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) resection. The relationship between epithelial cells and immune cells and the pathological features of immune cell dysfunction and excess tissue were observed.
