Deep transfer learning based hierarchical CAD system designs for SFM images.

J Med Eng Technol

February 2025

CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organization, Chandigarh, India.

Present work involves rigorous experimentation for classification of mammographic masses by employing four deep transfer learning models using hierarchical framework. Experimental work is carried on 518 SFM images of DDSM dataset with 208, 150 and 160 images of probably benign, suspicious- malignant and highly malignant classes, respectively. ResNet50 model is used for generating segmented mass images.

Purpose: The self-shielding radiosurgery system ZAP-X consists of a 3 MV linear accelerator and eight round collimators. For this system, it is a common practice to perform the reference dosimetry using the largest 25 mm diameter collimator at a source-to-axis distance (SAD) of 45 cm with the PTW Semiflex3D chamber placed at a measurement depth of 7 mm in water. Existing dosimetry protocols do not provide correction for these measurement conditions.

Background: Computerized clinical decision support systems (CDSS) are increasingly being used in clinical practice to improve health care delivery. Mobile apps are a type of CDSS that are currently being increasingly used, particularly in lifestyle interventions and disease prevention. However, the use of such apps in acute patient care, diagnosis, and management has not been studied to a great extent.

Background: More than half of pregnant patients with overweight or obesity exceed national gestational weight gain (GWG) guidelines, increasing their risk of adverse outcomes. There is an urgent need to develop effective and scalable interventions to improve GWG.

Objective: To describe the protocol of Lifestyle, Eating, and Activity in Pregnancy (LEAP), a cluster randomized controlled trial evaluating a mobile health (mHealth) intervention promoting appropriate GWG in an integrated healthcare system.
