The trabecular meshwork (TM) offers the maximum resistance to aqueous outflow that regulates the intraocular pressure. Newer ab interno procedures have opened up newer frontiers for understanding the functional relationship between the TM and Schlemm's canal. This case provides newer anatomical insights from findings during intraoperative use of anterior segment optical coherence tomography during ab interno microincisional trabeculectomy. Growing evidence and intraoperative findings during ab interno trabeculectomy suggest that other parts of the TM and its intricate understanding of the physiology of the outflow pathway deserve more study.

Esophageal symptoms, including dysphagia, heartburn, and non-cardiac chest pain, are prevalent concerns in gastroenterology. This review examines the roles of advanced diagnostic modalities such as high-resolution manometry (HRM), pH-impedance monitoring, and EndoFLIP in understanding esophageal physiology and pathology. Here, we discuss the clinical presentations of common esophageal symptoms and explore how structural abnormalities like strictures and motility disorders, including achalasia and esophageal spasms, are assessed using these tools.

Amphibian conservation concerns frequently center on the idea of 'saving' them, with the underlying assumption they are the passive victims of anthropogenic environmental change. But this approach ignores the physiological, biochemical, and behavioral flexibility amphibians have employed since they first evolved ~365 million years ago. One overlooked advantage amphibians possess in the struggle for survival, and one humans might use in their efforts to conserve them, is their brains share the same blueprint as human brains, which allows them to acquire knowledge and understanding through experiences-in other words, amphibians have cognitive capabilities that assist them in their effort to survive.

Guyon's canal, or the ulnar tunnel, is a critical anatomical structure at the wrist that houses the ulnar nerve and artery, making it susceptible to various pathological conditions. Pathologies affecting this canal include traumatic injuries, compressive neuropathies like ulnar tunnel syndrome, and space-occupying lesions such as ganglion cysts. Ulnar tunnel syndrome, characterised by numbness, tingling, and weakness in the ulnar nerve distribution, is a prevalent condition that can severely impair hand function.

Alveolar echinococcosis (AE), caused by the larval stage of the tapeworm , is a serious parasitic disease that presents significant health risks and challenges for both patients and healthcare systems. Accurate and timely diagnosis is essential for effective management and improved patient outcomes. This review summarizes the latest diagnostic methods for AE, focusing on serological tests and imaging techniques such as ultrasonography (US), computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT).

Lung cancer is the deadliest cancer worldwide, exhibiting the highest incidence rate among all cancer types. Poor outcomes often characterize this cancer as it is commonly diagnosed in advanced stages due to its unspecific symptoms. After diagnosis, the therapeutic choice is a crucial stage that profoundly affects patients' survival.
