To analyze the incidence and perinatal factors of death or severe intraventricular hemorrhage (sIVH) within the first week of life in preterm infants with gestational age <32 weeks. Based on the online data platform of Sina-northern Neonatal Network (SNN), a case-control study was conducted using clinical data from 8 903 preterm infants with gestational age <32 weeks admitted to 35 neonatal intensive care units (NICU) between 2019 and 2023. Infants were classified by gestational age at birth into very preterm infants and extremely preterm infants.

Current processing techniques for harvesting DNA from osseous elements are destructive, and success rates vary widely. When skeletal elements are homogenized into a fine powder, endogenous DNA may be subjected to fragmentation, and the likelihood of introducing co-purified inhibitory substances to the sample increases. While a limited number of articles in the relevant literature have challenged the status quo of pulverization, powdering hard tissue samples before DNA isolation continues to be standard practice in the forensic and ancient DNA communities.

Objective: To assess the impact of introducing electronic decision support systems (EDSS)-electronic data entry implemented alongside existing paper-based antenatal care (ANC) records-on the completeness and agreement of ANC records.
Design: Two-phase cross-sectional (before and after) substudy of the mobile health integrated model of hypertension, diabetes and ANC (mIRA project) process evaluation.
Setting: Four rural districts in Bagmati Province, Nepal, in 19 primary healthcare facilities.

Huntington's disease (HD) arises from the abnormal expansion of a CAG repeat in the HTT gene. The mutant CAG repeat triggers aberrant RNA-protein interactions and translates into toxic aggregate-prone polyglutamine protein. These aberrant RNA-protein ineractions also seed the formation of cytoplasmic liquid-like granules, such as stress granules.

Action anticipation is crucial for athletes, enabling them to make the most accurate decisions possible under time constraints and significantly impacting sports performance. This study systematically consolidates key findings from research on action anticipation in sports using the temporal occlusion paradigm to achieve the following five objectives: (1) quantifying the magnitude of the advantage of sports experts in action anticipation; (2) examining whether this expert advantage transfers to familiar and unfamiliar sports and, if so, quantifying its magnitude; (3) testing whether methodological manipulations significantly affect the quantification of action anticipation abilities; (4) reviewing whether temporal occlusion training can improve action anticipation abilities; and (5) inferring the relationship between action anticipation scores in the laboratory and actual movement performance in sports. We identified 111 original articles from databases including Web of Science, APA PsycInfo, PubMed, and Cochrane Library for qualitative analysis.
