In recent decades, women's representation in power positions has increased alongside a global decline in anti-egalitarian biases. These egalitarian shifts provide the ideal context to examine the boundary conditions of the motivators of group-based inequality. Accordingly, we investigate the possibility that rising gender equality over the last 14 years has attenuated the relationship between group-based (anti-)egalitarianism (namely, social dominance orientation) and system justification. A multi-level analysis of longitudinal data from 43,924 women shows that anti-egalitarian beliefs predicted increases in system justification. However as hypothesized, increases in gender equality attenuated the positive correlation between anti-egalitarian beliefs and justification of the status quo. These associations were particularly pronounced among women from majoritized groups who benefit most from gender equality. Results replicate across robustness checks and offer a critical update to our understanding of egalitarianism by showing that egalitarians may engage in system justification when the status quo becomes more equal.

Virtual coupling (VC), aimed at achieving closer tracking distances and facilitating flexible train formations, has become an efficacious trend for alleviating the increasing demand for transportation capacity as the continuous advancement of urbanization. This paper investigates safety prescribed performance control (SPPC) for VC trains with multifold kinematic targets and switching constraints (SCs). In comparison to traditional continuous PPC methods, SPPC strategy incorporating discontinuous characteristics is designed to ensure that position and speed errors of VC train formation remain within the maximum overshoot limit within a finite time after the mutation of tracking target.

We propose a distinct mechanism to explain the matter-antimatter imbalance observed in the universe, rooted in quantum entanglement asymmetry (QEA). Our concept of QEA differs from its usage in the recent literature, where it typically measures how much symmetry is broken within a subsystem of a larger quantum system. Here, we define QEA as an intrinsic asymmetry in the entanglement properties of particle-antiparticle pairs in the early universe, leading to a preferential survival of matter over antimatter.
