We treat privacy in a network of quantum sensors where accessible information is limited to specific functions of the network parameters, and all other information remains private. We develop an analysis of privacy in terms of a manipulation of the quantum Fisher information matrix, and find the optimal state achieving maximum privacy in the estimation of linear combination of the unknown parameters in a network of quantum sensors. We also discuss the effect of uncorrelated noise on the privacy of the network. Moreover, we illustrate our results with an example where the goal is to estimate the average value of the unknown parameters in the network. In this example, we also introduce the notion of quasiprivacy (ε privacy), quantifying how close the state is to being private.

Chlorogenic acid (CGA), a key phenolic acid found in coffee, fruits, vegetables, and herbs, has significant pharmacological activities, necessitating its accurate detection in complex matrices. In this study, an organic acrylate molecularly imprinted polymers-chitosan modified zinc sulphide quantum dots/polydopamine (MIPs-CS:ZnS QDs/PDA) based composite sensor for the detection of CGA has been designed. In MIPs shell, CGA served as template and 4-vinylpyridine and methacrylic acid as functional monomers, azobisisobutyronitrile acting as the initiator and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as the cross-linker.

The interfacial capacitance of graphene foam electrodes (Gii-Sens) in contact to aqueous media (determined by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy) is strongly affected by adsorption of 1-pyrenemethylamine (PMA). An order of magnitude increase in capacitance upon adsorption is ascribed predominantly to the quantum capacitance contribution (i.e.

Recently light-driven microdrones have been demonstrated, making use of plasmonic nanomotors based on directional resonant chiral light scattering. These nanomotors can be addressed individually, without requiring the tracking of a focused laser, leading to exceptional 2D maneuverability which renders microdrones a versatile robotic platform in aqueous environments. Here, we incorporate a light-operated manipulator, a plasmonic nano-tweezer, into the microdrone platform, rendering it a microrobot by enabling precise, all-optical transport and delivery of single nanoparticles suspended in solution.

Timely detection of early atherosclerosis (AS) is crucial for improving cardiovascular outcomes, creating a growing demand for diagnostic tools that are simple, sensitive, and cost-effective. Here, we introduce a synthetic nanosensor for early AS detection that leverages the fluorescence and renal clearance properties of carbon quantum dots (CQDs). This nanosensor, designed to respond to the proteolytic activity of AS-associated dysregulated enzymes, entails CQDs as signal reporters to convert AS-associated proteolytic activity to fluorometric readings enabling a sensitive and cost-effective urine-based assay for early AS detection.

Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) was used as a model glycoprotein, and a molecularly imprinted ratiometric fluorescence sensor based on a smartphone (NEB@MIP) was constructed using the sol-gel method for the fluorescence and visual detection of HRP. The sensor consisted of boronic acid-functionalized metal-organic frameworks (Eu-MOF-B(OH)) and nitrogen-doped carbon dots (N-CDs). The Eu-MOF-B(OH) surface can not only load abundant N-CDs but also covalently bind with HRP through its boronic acid groups.
