Background: The efficacy of root canal obturation is crucial for the long-term success of endodontic treatments. Recently, bioceramic materials have gained attention due to their superior biological and physical properties compared to traditional materials.

Materials And Methods: In this study, 60 extracted human teeth with single canals were randomly divided into three groups ( = 20) based on the obturation material used: Group A (EndoSequence BC Sealer), Group B (BioRoot RCS), and Group C (Conventional Gutta-Percha with AH Plus Sealer). All canals were prepared using a standardized protocol and obturated using the respective materials. The quality of obturation was assessed using micro-CT analysis, measuring void volume percentage and adaptation to canal walls. Additionally, apical sealing ability was evaluated using a dye penetration test.

Results: Group A showed a significantly lower void volume percentage (2.1% ±0.3) compared to Group B (3.4% ±0.5) and Group C (5.6% ±0.7) ( < 0.05). Micro-CT analysis revealed better adaptation to canal walls in Group A and Group B compared to Group C. The dye penetration test indicated that Group A had the least apical leakage (0.5 mm ± 0.2), followed by Group B (0.8 mm ± 0.3), and Group C (1.5 mm ± 0.4) ( < 0.05).

Conclusion: The new bioceramic materials, EndoSequence BC Sealer and BioRoot RCS demonstrated superior performance in root canal obturation compared to the conventional AH Plus Sealer.

We evaluated the viability of Vero and the osteogenic differentiation potential of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) cells cultured on alpha-TCP-RL, SiTCP-RL, and SiTCP-RC bioceramic scaffolds. Viability of Vero cells and MSCs were evaluated by the MTT assay. The morphological pattern of the two cell types was analyzed by SEM.

Objectives: This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of three intra-canal sealer activation techniques: ultrasonic, Lentulospiral activation, and GP cone-mediated ultrasonic activation on dentinal tubule penetration of a bioceramic (BIO-C) root canal sealer and AH Plus jet sealer with single cone obturation.

Materials And Methods: Eighty single-rooted straight canal teeth were randomly divided into two main groups - BIO-C sealer and AH Plus jet sealer ( = 40). Each group was further divided into four subgroups, based on the three activation techniques: ultrasonics, Lentulospiral, gutta-percha cone-mediated ultrasonic, and a control.

The intrinsic ability of these scaffold materials to generate piezoelectric currents presents a major proposition for increasing the complexity of the scaffold and facilitating tissue healing. The piezoelectric behavior of bone tissue has been an area of interest for many researchers in the past. However, these properties have not been given much attention in new osteochondral tissue scaffold designs, whereas the established design factors mainly concentrate on the structural and mechanical characteristics of the tissue in question.

Breast reconstruction after mastectomy aims to restore breast appearance and function. Current scaffolds often fail to meet the complex clinical demands of post-mastectomy breast reconstruction, which include personalized shaping, prevention of tumor recurrence and metastasis, and promotion of adipose tissue regeneration. This study aims to address these challenges by combining a readily processable biopolymer, polycaprolactone (PCL), with a multifunctional bioactive ceramic, cobalt orthosilicate (CoSiO, CoSi) to form a multi-functional CoSi/PCL composite scaffold through 3D printing technology.

Background: To evaluate the effect of 4 final irrigation solutions at different temperatures on dentin tubule penetration of bioceramic-based sealer using the warm vertical compaction method with a laser scanning confocal microscope (CLSM).

Methods: In total, 180 human maxillary incisors were prepared. Different final irrigation solutions [distilled water, ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), peracetic acid, or 1-hydroxyethylidene-1,1-bisphosphonate (HEBP)] at various temperatures (25, 36, or 60˚C) were used.
