Recent developments in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), driven by unprecedented data and computing capabilities, have transformed fields from computer vision to medicine, beginning to influence culture at large. These advances face key challenges: accuracy and trustworthiness issues, security vulnerabilities, algorithmic bias, lack of interpretability, and performance degradation when deployment conditions differ from training data. Fields lacking large datasets have yet to see similar impacts.

Urbanization has been recognized as an effective measure to promote socioeconomic development; however, it leads to cropland and habitat loss and aggravates ecosystem services (ESs), which have not been sufficiently and systematically revealed from the perspective of agriculture-ecology-economy nexus (AEEN). To address these knowledge gaps, this novel study adopted a hotspot of urbanization to examine the response dynamics of ESs and agricultural production to urbanization, as well as their regime shifts and interactions, by employing statistical records, satellite images, and incorporating biophysical model-based ESs into AEEN. In the past four decades, Guangdong has undergone rapid urbanization and associated landscape transformations, represented by cropland and wetland shrinkage and urban expansion, particularly around central city clusters, which have caused ESs degradation and grain productivity reduction.

In the midst of sweeping economic transformation and technological shifts, supply chain financing has risen as a critical mechanism for synergistic interaction and financial support among enterprises, offering effective solutions to financing challenges. Meanwhile, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), as vital strategies for resource acquisition and sustainable development, are inherently connected to the acquisition of supply chain financing. This paper conducts theoretical exploration and empirical research on the nexus between ESG performance and supply chain financing using Chinese A-share listed companies, analyzing ESG consistency from the temporal and structural dimensions.

The complex interplay between landscape connectivity, climate fluctuations, and land use transformations profoundly affects ecosystem health, functionality, and human well-being on a global scale. However, these interconnected issues are often not addressed collectively in studies, conservation strategies, or land use plans, particularly at the landscape scale. This paper introduces, for the first time the CCL Nexus - an integrated approach to studying the Connectivity, Climate, and Land use/cover change relationship - to better understand and resolve these complex dynamics.
