Background: Growing evidence suggests that greenness is associated with multiple health outcomes, but its association with lung cancer risk remains limited and far from consistent. In particular, it is unclear whether this association varies across different types of lung cancer and whether it is influenced by factors such as genetics, air pollution, and physical activity.
Method: This prospective cohort study included 425108 participants aged 37-73 years from the UK Biobank.

Background: Reduced greenness and increased nighttime light (NTL) have been associated with adverse health outcomes; however, the impacts of greenness and NTL on human fecundability remain uncertain.
Methods: Data was collected from 14,239,365 couples across 31 provinces in China. Greenness exposure was estimated using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) within 1000-meter buffer zones, while NTL data was derived from the Visible and Infrared Imaging Suite Day Night Band aboard satellites, both based on individual residential addresses.

Background: People living with HIV (PLHIV) in the southern United States (US) are at high risk for poor outcomes across the HIV care continuum leading to low rates of viral suppression. Understanding structural barriers to care-including transportation vulnerability-is critical to improve HIV outcomes. This study investigated relationships between travel time to HIV care, transportation vulnerability, and HIV care disruptions to inform future transportation interventions for PLHIV residing in South Carolina and other southern US states.

Background: Air pollution and greenness impact respiratory health, but intergenerational effects remain unclear.We investigated whether pre-conception parental residential exposure to air pollution and greenness at age 20-44 years is associated with offspring asthma outcomes in the Lifespan and inter-generational respiratory effects of exposures to greenness and air pollution (Life-GAP) project.
Methods: We analyzed data on 3684 RHINESSA study participants born after the year 1990 (mean age 19, standard deviation 4), offspring of 2689 RHINE study participants.

Wastewater-based surveillance (WBS) of SARS-CoV-2 is increasingly recognized as a valuable complement to clinical reporting for estimating COVID-19 infection rates. This acceptance stems from the strong correlation found between wastewater and clinical case data during the early stages of the pandemic. However, the cessation of COVID-19 restrictions, changes in clinical testing requirements by late 2021, and the widespread use of take-home antigen tests have diminished the reliability and volume of clinically reported case counts.
