In modern systematics, different sources of evidence are commonly used for the discovery, identification, and delimitation of species, especially when morphology fails to delineate between species or in underestimated species complexes or cryptic species. In this study, morphological data and two DNA barcoding markers-cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) and internal transcribed spacer 2 (ITS2)-were used to delimit species in the spider genus Loxosceles from North America. The molecular species delimitation analyses were carried out using three different methods under the corrected p-distance Neighbor-Joining (NJ) criteria: 1) Assemble Species by Automatic Partitioning (ASAP), 2) General Mixed Yule Coalescent model (GMYC), and 3) Bayesian Poisson Tree Processes (bPTP).

Background And Objective: Randomized clinical trials (RCTs) provide the most reliable estimates of treatment effectiveness for therapeutic interventions. However, flaws in their design and conduct may bias treatment effect estimates, leading to overestimation or underestimation of the true intervention effect. This is especially relevant for complex interventions, such as those in rehabilitation, which are multifaceted and tailored for individual patients or providers, leading to variations in delivery and treatment effects.

Introduction: This survey assessed the perspectives of physicians, people with diabetes (PWD), and caregivers in Japan regarding initiation barriers and treatment burden associated with insulin therapy, and expectations for new insulin therapies.
Methods: An online survey, conducted May-June 2023, was completed by physicians (n = 411), PWD (type 1 diabetes, n = 108; type 2 diabetes [T2D]: insulin-naive, n = 114; insulin-treated, n = 108), and caregivers (family members, n = 107; nurses, n = 117; care workers, n = 104). Agreement with statements regarding initiation barriers, current feelings, and burden of insulin therapy was assessed.

Collective memories refer to a group's shared representation of the past, which are slow to change over time. In this study, representative samples of American and German Younger Adults (YAs) and Older Adults (OAs) rated the emotional valence of 12 national historic events. Critically, both age groups were also asked to take on the perspective of the other: OAs imagined how YAs feel, whereas YAs imagined how OAs feel about the same events today.
