As a successor to the DArk Matter Particle Explorer (DAMPE), the Very Large Area γ-rays Space Telescope (VLAST) is being designed to strengthen γ-ray observations and extend the cosmic ray nuclei measurements up to Zr (Z = 40) and even heavier ions. Consequently, a large dynamic range is required by the charge detector of VLAST to cover the measurements of cosmic ray particles from the proton to ultra-heavy ions. To achieve the requirements, a readout design based on the three dynodes signal extracted from the photomultiplier tube has been proposed. In addition, a prototype VLAST charge detector has been developed and tested with cosmic rays, pulse UV laser, and relativistic heavy ion beams to verify this design. The test results illustrate that the dynamic range readout design can easily cover the required dynamic range of about five orders of magnitude.

Lipopeptides with different fatty acids (palmitic, palmitoleic, stearic, oleic, and linoleic acids) conjugated to CHSPKKKRKV were synthesised by a solid-phase peptide method using the Fmoc strategy (Fmoc-SPPS) on 2-CTC (2-chlorotritylchloride) resin. The lipopeptides were purified by RP-HPLC and characterised by ToF-ESI-MS and 1D-NMR. The capability of the lipopeptide to interact with the plasmid was evaluated by DNA agarose gel electrophoresis.

Cyclodextrin formulations are crucial for enhancing the solubility of drugs. Bile salts are recognized as potential agents for displacing drugs from cyclodextrin formulations in intestinal fluids. However, the mechanism underlying this displacement remains unclear.

Purpose: Patients with locally-advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinomas(HNSCCs), particularly those related to human papillomavirus(HPV), often achieve good locoregional control(LRC), yet they suffer significant toxicities from standard chemoradiotherapy. This study aims to optimize the daily dose fractionation based on individual responses to radiotherapy(RT), minimizing toxicity while maintaining a low risk of LRC failure.
Method: A virtual environment was developed to simulate tumor dynamics under RT for optimizing dose schedules.

Temperatures between 40°C and 50°C are increasingly implemented in full-scale agricultural anaerobic digestion (AD), yet the microbial diversity and antibiotic resistome dynamics within this temperature range remain poorly understood. Here, we defined this range as "hyper-mesophilic" and surveyed five full-scale sites. Significant differences were found in the bacterial community structure, potentially stemming from feedstock combination (high vs low/non-manure) and operating temperature.

Glyphosate (GLY) is a widely used herbicide, and its potential health and environmental risks require the establishment of efficient residue detection techniques. In the design of photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensors based on CuTCPP, it is necessary to increase the visible light absorption efficiency and promote the separation of photogenerated electron-hole, as well as balance the adsorption and desorption of GLY to maintain excellent reversibility and responsiveness. In this work, the synergistic effect of type-II heterojunction g-CN/CuTCPP on the dynamic conversion of copper sites under illumination and applied voltage is explored for the first time and a portable glyphosate detection device is designed to meet the practical application requirements.
