Introduction: Sentinel lymph node (SLN) detection is the technique of choice for staging early-stage breast cancer (BC). The preferred technique for SLN detection is labelling with the radioisotope Technetium-99 (Tc-99). Other methods have been evaluated, including methylene blue, magnetic tracers, iodine seeds, or fluorescent substances.

Background: Near-infrared fluorescence (NIF)-mapping with indocyanine green dye (ICG) facilitates the identification of the intersegmental plane during minimally invasive segmentectomy. Our pilot study showed that ICG is associated with an increase in oncological margin distance from the tumour, greater than the surgeon's best judgment. We hypothesized that, with greater experience, the surgeon's judgement will improve, and the benefit of ICG will diminish.

Background: There is a clear correlation between accurate postoperative lymph node staging and the survival prognosis of patients. This study aimed to explore the application and value of indocyanine green (ICG) fluorescence real-time imaging technology in lymph node sorting during radical esophagectomy for esophageal cancer.
Methods: From August 2022 to June 2023, the specimens of 66 patients who underwent esophageal cancer resection with lymph node dissection were examined.

This systematic review and meta-analysis protocol aims to evaluate the comparative efficacy of different sentinel lymph node (SLN) detection techniques in the management of vulvar cancer. Vulvar cancer, though rare, predominantly affects older women and requires effective management strategies. The SLN technique has become a standard approach for early-stage cases, offering reduced morbidity compared to complete lymphadenectomy.
