Introduction: The etiology of lower-limb neurological deficit after vaginal delivery remains poorly understood. The objective herein was to identify factors associated with this maternal nerve injury after vaginal delivery.
Material And Methods: A single-center, case-control (matching 1:4) study.

The development of new tools to interface with the nervous system, empowered by advances in electronics and materials science, has transformed neuroscience and is informing therapies for neurological and mental conditions. Although the vast majority of neural engineering research has focused on advancing tools to study the brain, understanding the peripheral nervous system and other organs can similarly benefit from these technologies. To realize this vision, the neural interface technologies need to address the biophysical, mechanical, and chemical challenges posed by the peripheral nerves and organs.

Neuralgic Amyotrophy (NA) or Parsonage-Turner syndrome is an idiopathic neuropathy commonly affecting the brachial plexus. Associated phrenic nerve involvement, though recognised, is thought to be very rare. We present a case series of four patients (all male, mean age 53) presenting with dyspnoea preceded by severe self-limiting upper limb and shoulder pain, with an elevated hemi-diaphragm on clinical examination and chest X-ray.

Objective: Although a clear correlation has been observed between high-frequency oscillations (HFOs) and the seizure-onset zone in distinct lesions, the role of the underlying pathologic substrates in the generation of HFOs is not well established. We aimed to investigate HFO correlates of different pathologic substrates in patients with drug-resistant epilepsy, and to examine the relation of HFOs with the anatomic location of the dysplastic lesion and surrounding tissue in patients with focal cortical dysplasia (FCD).
Methods: We studied consecutive patients with drug-resistant epilepsy who underwent intracranial electroencephalography (iEEG) investigations with depth electrodes at the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital, between November 2004 and May 2013.

Objective: There are no previous studies undertaken about myasthenia gravis in the Faroe Islands. The aim of this study was to establish the incidence of onset of this disease in the Faroese population.
Method: Patients were ascertained and registered prospectively from 1986 to 2013 when they were examined at the Neurological Clinic of the Faroese National Hospital or at a private neurological practice, which constitutes all the available neurological services in the Faroe Islands.
