On the heels of the continuous development of optical fiber sensing technology, optical fiber sensors based on surface plasmon resonance (SPR) have attracted widespread attention. Herein, an SPR sensor based on the six nested anti-resonant fiber (ARF) is designed and analyzed by the finite element method (FEM). All the structural parameters are optimized to achieve high-sensitivity liquid refractive index detection. Filling the anti-resonant tube with plasmonic materials to excite SPR can further reduce the manufacturing complexity. The optimal ARF-SPR sensor has excellent characteristics, including an average wavelength sensitivity of 42,000 nm/RIU, maximum sensor length of 0.08 cm, and resolution of 1.61×10 . The ARF-SPR sensor has great potential in chemical analysis, biomedicine, and other fields.

Objectives: Mesothelin (MSLN) is an antigen that is overexpressed in various cancers, and its interaction with tumor-associated cancer antigen 125 plays a multifaceted role in tumor metastasis. The serum MSLN expression level can be detected using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay; however, non-invasive visualization of its expression at the tumor site is currently lacking. Therefore, the aim of this study was to develop a molecular probe for imaging MSLN expression through positron emission tomography (PET).

The critical need for rapid cancer diagnosis and related illnesses is growing alongside the current healthcare challenges, unfavorable prognosis, and constraints in diagnostic timing. As a result, emphasis on surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) diagnostic methods, including both label-free and labelled approaches, holds significant promise in fields such as analytical chemistry, biomedical science, and physics, due to the user-friendly nature of SERS. Over time, the SERS detection sensitivity and specificity with nanostructured materials for SERS applications (NMs-SERS) in different media have been remarkable.

We synthesized rigid, macromolecular brushes with well-defined and quantized brush lengths on a gold nanoparticle substrate by using a macromolecular "grafting from" approach. The macromonomers used in these brushes were thiol- and maleimide-functionalized peptide coiled coil "bundlemers" that fold into discrete 4 nm × 2 nm (length × diameter) cylindrical nanoparticles. With each added peptide macromonomer layer, brush thickness increased by approximately the length of a single bundlemer nanoparticle.

Metamaterials hold great promise for application in the field of perfect absorbers due to their remarkable ability to manipulate electromagnetic waves. In this work, a full-spectrum ultra-wideband solar absorber with a multilayer metal-dielectric stacked structure is designed. Our absorber is simple and easy to manufacture, with Ti serving as the substrate, overlaid with SiN spacer layers and four pairs of Ti-SiN ring columns.

However, there remains a lack of research on the surface plasmon (SP) properties and carrier transport characteristics of ZrSiS. In this paper, we conduct an in-depth study of these properties and compare them with the traditional SP material Au.
