The drucebo effect, a lesser-known counterpart to the nocebo effect, arises from negative perceptions specifically related to medical interventions and healthcare settings. This phenomenon can significantly influence the management of lymphedema, a chronic and often debilitating condition characterized by fluid retention and tissue swelling. The drucebo effect not only exacerbates symptom perception but also negatively impacts adherence to therapy and overall patient prognosis.

Biopolymer films derived from starch and chitosan were soaked in vanadium salt solutions to produce vanadium metallopolymer films. Visible light irradiation induces significant color shifts from yellow to green due to changes in the oxidation state of vanadium. The material was observed to undergo dramatic structural changes upon incorporation of vanadium, with further restructuring occurring after visible light illumination.

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is notably prevalent in East and Southeast Asia, where despite advancements in radiotherapy leading to high control rates, challenges like radioresistance and collateral tissue damage remain significant. While Schisandrin B (SchB) has been demonstrated antitumor effects in various tumors, its efficacy in NPC remains unexplored. In this study, we explored the antitumor potential of Sch B on NPC, particularly its effects on cell proliferation and radiosensitivity.
