Guava is a fruit crop widely exploited in the Northeast region of Brazil. However, its exploitation is limited by water scarcity and, in many cases, producers are forced to use water with high levels of salts in irrigation. Thus, it is necessary to develop techniques to induce plant tolerance to salt stress, and the foliar application of a non-enzymatic compound such as ascorbic acid is a promising alternative to mitigate the deleterious effects on plants.

Objective: This study investigated the associations among endodontic instruments, ultrasonic tips and various final irrigation protocols for removing intracanal and intratubular biofilms in long oval canals.
Methodology: One hundred mandibular premolars inoculated with Enterococcus faecalis were divided into two groups: the control group (CG: n = 10), which received no treatment; and the test groups (n = 30), which included saline (SS), sodium hypochlorite (2.5% NaOCl) and chlorhexidine (2% CHX).

Freshwater depletion becomes a significant challenge as the population grows and food demand rises. We evaluated the responses of lettuce cultivars () under saline stress in photosynthetic responses, production, and ion homeostasis. We used a randomized block design in a 3 × 5 factorial scheme with five replications-the first factor: three cultivars of curly lettuce: SVR 2005, Simpson, and Grand Rapids.

Introduction: The peripheral vascular catheter (PVC) is the most common intravenous medical device used in hospitals, given it is crucial for the delivery of intravenous therapies. Despite its widespread use, PVC complications such as occlusion, infiltration, extravasation, phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, catheter-related thrombosis and catheter-related bloodstream infection significantly affect patient safety, leading to increased morbidity and healthcare costs. One approach to maintain PVC patency and therefore device longevity is to flush the PVC.
