The global shift toward telemedicine, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, has revolutionized healthcare delivery by enabling remote consultations and treatments. However, this rapid adoption has also introduced critical cybersecurity vulnerabilities, particularly in safeguarding sensitive medical data and ensuring the secure operation of telemedicine platforms. If not properly addressed, these vulnerabilities can compromise patient safety and the integrity of healthcare systems. As a result, implementing robust cybersecurity measures in telemedicine platforms is essential. The framework developed in this study allows for the assessment of a telemedicine platform's cybersecurity posture and provides concrete recommendations for improvement. In this context, the Security Framework for Telemedicine Platforms, developed as part of the study, serves as a valuable tool for evaluating platform security, identifying vulnerabilities, and pinpointing areas for enhancement. This framework empowers organizations to effectively strengthen their cybersecurity strategies, as demonstrated by a case study.
