To deal with the increasingly severe climate crisis and environmental pollution, China launched a nationwide real-time air quality monitoring program in three batches, a milestone moment in its environmental governance history. Using the time-varying difference-in-differences model, this study explores the synergies of this program across 284 cities from 2009 to 2019. The findings are as follows: (1) With environmental information disclosed, the national air quality monitoring program can reduce the outdoor fine particulate matter concentration by an overall effect of 3.

In the face of the climate change crisis, circular economy (CE) is put forward as a promising key to the sustainable development goals (SDGs) riddle. In this context that affects developed and developing countries alike, circular initiatives arise, such is the case for Morocco where an industrial synergy based on the CE concept of 'waste is food' can be envisioned between the local phosphate and cement industries. In order to support and guide this initiative, a life cycle assessment (LCA) was conducted to compare the environmental performance of the production of ordinary Portland cement (OPC), limestone calcined clay cement (LC3) and a phosphate waste-based cement known as calcined marl cement (CMC).

Climate change and the energy crisis, driven by excessive CO emissions, have emerged as pressing global challenges. The conversion of CO into high-value chemicals not only mitigates atmospheric CO levels but also optimizes carbon resource utilization. Enzyme-catalyzed carbon technology offers a green and efficient approach to CO conversion.

The global shift towards sustainable energy and bioproducts has intensified research on algae. Renewable green biofuel can address and provide solutions to both energy crisis and climate change challenges. Botryococcus braunii, a bloom forming green microalga, known for its high lipid content and potential for biofuel production has been explored in the present study.
