Pro-IL-1β is an important inflammatory factor and is also a biomarker for detecting early pro-inflammatory immune responses. However, commercially available antibodies against chicken inflammatory factors are lacking, which prohibits an in-depth exploration of the mechanism of chicken inflammation. This study cloned and expressed chicken pro-IL-1β, and developed a hybridoma cell line 1E12 capable of stably secreting chicken pro-IL-1β monoclonal antibody (mAb). The secreted mAb 1E12 can recognize exogenous or endogenous chicken pro-IL-1β by Western blot and IFA techniques, and for the first time, a novel antigen epitope SSLSEETFY of chicken pro-IL-1β recognized by this mAb was identified. This study not only provides an important tool for the detection and research of chicken pro-IL-1β, but also has significant implications for understanding the antigenic structure and biochemical characteristics of chicken pro-IL-1β.

Bone damages in laying hens are of great concern in poultry farming. Besides various risk factors like housing systems or nutrient supply during egg production, it has often been hypothesized that genetically high-performing laying hens may be more prone to bone damages. The relevance of dietary support during the rearing period of pullets for optimal bone development has been little addressed so far.

Chlorella vulgaris has antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as the probiotic that is important for keeping the intestinal microbiota balanced. The objective was to test the impact of supplementation with microalgae and/or probiotics on broiler chickens' performance, immunity, and intestinal microbiota. The experimental design was in randomized blocks in a 4x2 factorial scheme, with four levels of inclusion of C.

This study was aim to investigate the effects of lipoic acid (ALA) on performance, meat quality, serum biochemistry and antioxidant function of broilers under heat stress (HS). Two hundred1-day-old Cobb broilers were randomly divided into four treatment groups and each treatment consisted of 4 replicates of 10 broilers each. The treatment group adopts a 2 × 2 two-factor setting, which is divided into two diets (basic diet or 250 mg/kg ALA diet) and two temperatures (24 ± 1℃ or 33 ± 1℃).

Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) causes a highly contagious, acute upper respiratory disease in chickens characterized by nasal discharge, coughing, and rales. Here, the complete genome sequence of a recombinant GI-13 IBV strain ck/IN/A2332039-001/24 was sequenced from a choanal sample of a commercial broiler chicken in India using nontargeted next-generation sequencing.
