The aim of this study was to investigate the representation of women in the German-speaking scientific publication landscape of otorhinolaryngology.Authorship was analyzed based on articles published between 2013 and 2023 in the two largest otorhinolaryngology journals (Laryngorhinootologie, HNO) to determine the frequency and percentage of gender distribution among first and last authorships.A total of 2,631 articles were examined. Women were first authors in 699 articles (26.6%) and last authors in 384 articles (14.6%). Clear trends indicating an increase in the proportion of women were observed: First-author publications rose from 19.9% to 34.5% over the analyzed 10-year period, while last-author publications increased from 9.4% to 19.0%.The proportion of women publishing as first or last authors in otorhinolaryngology is rising but remains low. Efforts to promote gender diversity could further increase the proportion of women among the authors in otorhinolaryngology literature.

Objective: To determine the diagnostic performance and clinical utility of the M4 prediction model and the NICE algorithm managing women with pregnancy of unknown location (PUL).
Design: The study has a superiority design regarding specificity for non-ectopic pregnancy for M4, given that the primary outcome of sensitivity for ectopic pregnancy (EP) is non-inferior in comparison with the NICE algorithm.
Setting: Emergency gynaecology units in Sweden.

Background: The contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) classification offers a framework for risk stratification in evaluating liver lesions in patients at risk for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, its clinical utility in combined HCC-cholangiocarcinoma (cHCC-CCA) has been less extensively studied. The degree of tumor differentiation is clinically significant in determining prognosis, making the analysis of imaging features across different differentiation levels essential.

Background: Although highly prevalent, most perinatal mental health and substance use disorders often go unrecognized, undiagnosed, and untreated. Perinatal Psychiatry Access Programs have emerged as a successful model to increase the capacity of front-line maternal health care providers to address perinatal mental health conditions through education, consultation, and increased resources and referrals.
Methods: This model has been adapted in South Carolina to include direct access to mental health treatment in response to inadequate maternity care and mental health services, including a large proportion of rural, Medically Underserved Areas in Primary Care and Mental Health Healthcare Provider Shortage Areas throughout the state.

Background: Maternal short-term outcomes of postpartum depression (PPD) were widely examined, but little is known about its long-term association with multiple chronic diseases (multimorbidity) in women's later life. This study aims to assess the association of PPD with chronic diseases and multimorbidity in women's mid-late life.
Methods: This prospective cohort study included female participants in UK Biobank who attended online follow-up assessment and reported their history of PPD.
