Objective: To analyze the representation of access pathways to the transsexualizing process in Brazil and the main barriers faced by transgender people.
Method: A scoping review of the literature was conducted. Searches took place in January 2024, with articles and reviews that addressed access to the transsexualizing process being eligible, while books, chapters, conferences, editorial documents, and studies describing surgical procedures were excluded.

Background: Most patients undergoing breast surgery with free nipple grafts lose nipple erection (NE) function. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of nerve preservation and reconstruction with targeted nipple-areola complex reinnervation (TNR) on NE following gender-affirming mastectomy with free nipple grafting.
Methods: Patients undergoing gender-affirming mastectomy with free nipple grafts were prospectively enrolled.

A necessary component of postoperative care in gender-affirming vaginoplasty is the dilation of the neovaginal canal. Difficulty with dilation can cause patient pain and distress, often decreasing compliance and leading to partial or complete closure of the neovaginal canal. This study sought to evaluate the sociodemographic, operative, and comorbid characteristics that contribute to patient difficulty with neovaginal dilation.

Facial feminization surgery (FFS) is critical to gender-affirming surgery, consisting of craniomaxillofacial procedures to align facial features with a patient's gender identity. Central to FFS is genioplasty, which reshapes or repositions the chin; however, limited research exists on genioplasty in FFS. This review and cohort analysis aim to evaluate current practices and outcomes for individuals undergoing FFS with genioplasty.
