Background And Objectives: Neuropsychiatric symptoms (NPS) are common in older people with cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease (AD). No biomarkers to detect the related pathology or predict the clinical evolution of NPS are available yet. This study aimed to identify plasma proteins that may serve as biomarkers for NPS and NPS-related clinical disease progression.

We aimed to develop and validate prediction models incorporating demographics, clinical features, and a weighted genetic risk score (wGRS) for individual prediction of colorectal cancer (CRC) risk in patients with gastroenterological symptoms. Prediction models were developed with internal validation [CRC Cases: n = 1686/Controls: n = 963]. Candidate predictors included age, sex, BMI, wGRS, family history, and symptoms (changes in bowel habits, rectal bleeding, weight loss, anaemia, abdominal pain).

Purpose: Prior research has demonstrated the influence of preoperative shoulder elevation (SE), proximal thoracic curve magnitude, and upper instrumented vertebra (UIV) on shoulder balance after PSF for AIS. Our purpose was to evaluate the impact of these factors on shoulder balance in early onset idiopathic scoliosis (EOIS) patients treated with growth-friendly instrumentation.
Methods: This was a multicenter retrospective review.
