Background: Metastatic spine tumor surgery (MSTS) is often complex and extensive leading to significant blood loss. Objective: The purpose of this study was to present a newly designed 3D-printed personalized model (3D PPM) of a radiofrequency needle guide with a maxillary fixation for gasserian ganglion (GG) puncture.
Methods: Implementation of 3D CT-guided radiofrequency therapy of the GG with and without use of 3D PPM was analyzed. The following parameters were assessed: radiation time, dose area product, air kerma reference point, pain severity during the puncture needle insertion, prosopalgia regression degree (according to visual analog scale) and the severity of facial numbness (according to the Barrow Neurological Institute scale) in the early postoperative period, and postpuncture complications.

Survival analysis is critical in many fields, particularly in healthcare where it can guide medical decisions. Conventional survival analysis methods like Kaplan-Meier and Cox proportional hazards models to generate survival curves indicating probability of survival v. time have limitations, especially for long-term prediction, due to assumptions that all instances follow a general population-level survival curve.

Left atrial myxoma is the most prevalent primary cardiac tumor, known for its high risk of systemic embolization. Although surgical excision remains the standard treatment, options are limited for high-risk patients. This case report introduces a novel approach using transcatheter electrosurgery to address a left atrial myxoma via a transseptal approach in a patient ineligible for conventional surgery due to the heightened risk of intracranial hemorrhage associated with cerebral amyloid angiopathy.

Objective: To explore the application value of Internet Family Engagement Continuum of Care in strabismus ambulatory surgery and evaluate its impact on postoperative complications, children's quality of life, and parental satisfaction.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 257 children who underwent strabismus ambulatory surgery in our hospital from February 2022 to December 2023. The children were divided into a control group (n=149), which received routine nursing services and telephone follow-up, and an observation group (n=108), which received Internet Family Engagement Continuum of Care through a mobile medical platform.
