The floating phase, a critical incommensurate phase, has been theoretically predicted as a potential intermediate phase between crystalline ordered and disordered phases. In this study, we investigate the different quantum phases that arise in ladder arrays comprising up to 92 neutral-atom qubits and experimentally observe the emergence of the quantum floating phase. We analyze the site-resolved Rydberg state densities and the distribution of state occurrences. The site-resolved measurement reveals the formation of domain walls within the commensurate ordered phase, which subsequently proliferate and give rise to the floating phase with incommensurate quasi-long-range order. By analyzing the Fourier spectra of the Rydberg density-density correlations, we observe clear signatures of the incommensurate wave order of the floating phase. Furthermore, as the experimental system sizes increase, we show that the wave vectors approach a continuum of values incommensurate with the lattice. Our work motivates future studies to further explore the nature of commensurate-incommensurate phase transitions and their non-equilibrium physics.

Correctly fixing the integer ambiguity of GNSS is the key to realizing the application of GNSS high-precision positioning. When solving the float solution of ambiguity based on the double-difference model epoch by epoch, the common method for resolving the integer ambiguity needs to solve the coordinate parameter information, due to the influence of limited GNSS phase data observations. This type of method will lead to an increase in the ill-posedness of the double-difference solution equation, so that the fixed success rate of the integer ambiguity is not high.

Post-translational modifications of proteins via palmitoylation, a thioester linkage of a 16-carbon fatty acid to a cysteine residue, reversibly increases their affinity for cholesterol-rich lipid rafts in membranes, changing their function. Little is known about how altered palmitoylation affects function at the systemic level and contributes to CNS pathology. However, recent studies suggested a role for the downregulation of palmitoyl acetyltransferase (DHHC) 21 gene expression in the development of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)-like syndrome.

Concomitant formation of protocells and prebiotic compounds under a plausible early Earth atmosphere.

Revealing the origin of life and unambiguously detecting fossil remains of the earliest organisms are closely related aspects of the same scientific research. The synthesis of prebiotic molecular building blocks of life and the first compartmentalization into protocells have been considered two events apart in time, space, or both. We conducted lightning experiments in borosilicate reactors filled with a mixture of gases mimicking plausible geochemical conditions of early Earth.

: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of the Surgnova Dophi™ M150E microwave ablation system in a prospective single-center observational study. : A cohort of 50 patients with 77 primary or secondary liver tumors underwent CT-navigated stereotactic percutaneous microwave ablation with curative intention using the Surgnova Dophi™ M150E system. The endpoints were primary technique efficacy (PTE), number of complications, ablation defect dimensions, and sphericity index compared to previously reported findings.
